Halfway through the week, Ashley felt like killing herself. It was only just Wednesday but she was so done with work that week. At least, she wanted to be done. She figured that if she didn't kill herself, her head ache and horrible health would surely beat her to it. Groaning, she slumped back onto a couch on the set while the latest episode of Bling was being filmed.

"Hey, Ash! What's up?" Jayden asked cheerily as he jogged up to her. "I hardly saw you all day; where have you been?"

"Buried under all of the paperwork in my office and preparing for my funeral because this head ache is definitely going to kill me in a few hours," came the immediate reply. "That is, if I don't kill myself before it does."

"Are you alright?" the blond questioned gently as he sat down next to Ashley and slipped an arm around her slumping shoulders. "You're all hot."

"Well, I've heard that a lot," she joked.

Jayden frowned. "No, seriously. Are you coming down with the fever?"

"I don't know; I sure do feel like shit."

"No offense, Ash," Jayden chuckled nervously, "but you do look like shit too."

Ashley checked her reflection on the screen of her phone, which was lying idly by her side. She let out a throaty chuckle. "I do, don't I?"

Jayden let out a short laugh. "Do you want me to bring you home, right now?"

"No, it's fine. I'll be fine. I'll leave once the work for today is completed."

"Okay, but I'll bring you home," Jayden asserted. "Deal?"

The brunette exhaled loudly. "Deal."

Jayden grinned. "Great!"

"Oh, I almost forgot to thank you for the ride today morning," Ashley said, a small smile gracing her face. "So, thank you."

"Not a problem," Jayden replied before pulling out a granola bar from his pocket. "Care for some?"

Ashley grimaced. "Not really; I'm not hungry . . ."

"Oh, that's alright," Jayden said with a shrug. "Oh, I'm sorry, were you saying something? I totally interrupted, sorry."

Ashley smiled. "I was just thanking you for today morning; it was really nice of you to pick me up last moment. My car wouldn't start up and I don't know why. I was running late anyway. I hardly got to have breakfast."

"Well, you do need to get your car checked . . ." he trailed off with a frown. "How come you're not hungry?" he asked curiously.

"I don't know," she said slowly before smiling brightly. "That's just me, I guess!" she exclaimed with fake cheer, wincing immediately a moment later. "Damn this head ache," she muttered under her breath.

Jayden was about to speak up but before he could do so, KJ's voice echoed around the set. "Cross, meet me on the set right now!"

"I should get going," Jayden said as he warily stood up. "But, I'll see you later?"

"Of course."

Barely an hour later, a cab pulled up outside Ashley's building with the brunette in it. Quite contrary to what she had been hoping, Ashley's head ache didn't subside. Instead, it worsened and she had no option but to leave a note on Jayden's message about her departure, collect her belonging and ditch whatever work remained for the day. She just couldn't take it.
