Right from the moment that the four of them entered Walmart, Sameer had been repeatedly scanning the supermarket and couldn't stand still for even one single moment. Every now and then, he whipped out his phone and tried one particular number but with no avail.
"What are you being so restless for?" Gabriella asked with a laugh before glancing over to where her boyfriend and Ashley were picking out processed fruit juices. Smiling slightly at the sight of the duo, she turned her attention back towards Sameer.
"Nothing," he replied. Sameer chuckled on noting Gabriella's suspicious gaze. "What? I told you nothing's up."
"Stop acting so suspicious," the blonde replied before picking out some cheese, which she knew was on Ashley's shopping list that evening.
"If you say so . . ."

"Why did you even go partying last night, a Thursday night?" Eric questioned furiously. He was really losing his patience with Zac and his attitude.
". . . because the party was yesterday, and not this weekend?" Zac replied with an eye-roll.
"Partying is alright so let's not bother about that; if you were so drunk, why did you even wander close to where the paparazzi were waiting around?"
"They were at the exit," Zac snapped. "How else would I have got out of the fucking club, by flying out of the window, or the rooftop maybe?" he all but yelled. "Neither are you my teacher nor a parent; you're my manager, so I suggest you act like one too."
Eric exhaled loudly. "Zac . . ."
Zac swallowed; he was getting unnecessarily worked up. He was trying extremely hard to not say something he would end up regretting later.
"You shouldn't have lost your temper with the paparazzi."
"Don't tell me," Zac shot back sarcastically. "I wouldn't have known."
Eric rolled his eyes.
"Zac, this isn't the first time this has happened."
"I told you, I'm sorry!" Zac replied, pacing around Eric's living room. "Last night wasn't even supposed to happen. I don't even know how all of that went down."
"None of last night's events would have taken place had you been sober," Eric shot back in a low, furious tone. "Events? More like last night's fuck ups," he said with a snort.
"It isn't that big a deal," Zac said sullenly.
"It isn't that big a deal? It isn't that big a deal? What are you even saying? Can you hear yourself talk?" Eric almost shouted before pausing to take a deep breath. "Zac, being your manager is already a lot to handle so can you please make my life easier by actually thinking of what you're about to say before saying it?"
Zac raised his eyebrows. "Well, you know what? Let me make your life easier."
"Fat chance you'll be able to manage that."
"Actually I can; don't be my manager anymore," Zac replied nonchalantly as he made his way towards where his phone and keys were lying. "There you go- now your life is a hundred times easier without me being a pain in your ass."
"Did you just fire me?"
"Well," Zac muttered as he made his way towards the doorway. He said nothing as he walked but once he reached the doorway, he paused and turned around. "You weren't happy with your job so I actually did you a favour; you sort of quit, didn't you?"
