Daddy can I walk by your side
down the well lighted streets
Tell me all thats on your mind
Embrace the good
Release the bad
I remember the walks we had.
After the sun falls from the sky
Street lights replace the sun
We reveal our souls in a simple chat
Pulling back our sleeves
Under the watch of the stars
We show our scars
These times are gone
Thrown back in my mind
Rested deep like you
No shed of light in sight
The dust now settling
on a mere photograph
walking down a cemetary path
