I am here and now
but days stretched beyond my sight
its hard to take in
(That's what she said)
My mouth waters with desire
of a more fruitful being
but it's hard to swallow
(That's what she said)
Lingering thoughts of oblivion
invade my outlook on life
entering every hole
(That's what she said)
I reach my hands for the cornerstone
I struggle to stand firmly
yet, I find myself on my knees
(that's what she said)
To mold one's self into the ideal
will drive any man insane
I cannot bend that way
(that's what she said)
There is a great pain that cries
It begs for mercy and screams
Pull out slowly
(That's what she said)
I am man here on this stage
craving for audience
I am ready to strip before you
(That's what she said)
So see me as I am now
A vessel passing by this brief world
but feels so huge.
(That's what she said)
Have mercy as you listen to my words
but don't give me your pity
I just don't have a taste for it
(That's what she said)
