Chapter two

The next morning....

Dereks pov :

I woke up knowing a plan of how to fix things, well maybe fix things, I opened the door of the on call room and saw all of our friends just standing there , damn I hate  Amelia sometimes why couldn't she have just kept her mouth shut

Bailey: Derek why are you here, did you quit your job or are you just coming to visit your family?

Callie: when did you get here, didn't you come back like in the middle of the night two nights ago? What did you do Derek , Meredith seemed really off yesterday at work and all she mentioned was that you came home in the middle of the night

Derek: really guys this is none of your business , all you need to know is that I screwed up badly

Callie: is this about the woman who answered your phone, wait did you cheat on Meredith , the night she talked to that woman she aired all of her concerns to Karev, Maggie and I. We were in the tunnels. I really tried to convince her that you guys would be fine, did you cheat on her Derek?

Derek: if you guys really need to know then yes I cheated on Meredith with the woman who answered her phone so if you could excuse me I need to go try to save my marriage

Bailey: how could you do that to Meredith, how could you be so stupid

As I was walking away I heard things like "how could he do that to her", " I didn't expect him to do that" , " how's Meredith dealing with all of this". All of those comments made me feel so guilty and I should because I really screwed up. As I was almost out the door the next thing I knew I was face first on the ground, I got tackled from behind and whoever tackled me turned me over and started punching me in the face, I got a good look at the guy and it was Karev. I really should have expected this considering he is now Meredith's person so to say. I got a few good hits on him and then some of the other doctors broke up the fight, we were both taken to exam rooms to get checked out. My face was bleeding a lot and it was throbbing, as I turned my head I saw Meredith watching in the distance, I really wish she wasn't here, she doesn't need to see this

Alex's pov:

When I heard that Derek cheated on Meredith I was pissed he was such an arrogant ass hole, how could he do that to Meredith and his kids. Next thing I knew I was tackling him to the ground and punching him, he got a couple good punches in but, he was bleeding a lot. I did feel bad for hurting him but how could he just cheat on Meredith like that.  It just really infuriates me. Someone broke up the fight and I was taken to an exam room to get checked out. My hand was throbbing I'm pretty sure I won't be able to operate for a while but it was worth it Derek deserves what he gets.

Merediths pov:

I just dropped off the kids in daycare and I'm walking down the hallway and I see a big commotion, as I get closer I notice that it's Alex and Derek fighting, I guess Alex found out that Derek cheated on me, Derek looked very bloody good thing Owen and some of the other doctors came to break up the fight before it go to out of hand,they were both taken to exam rooms to get checked out. I was torn because i didn't know if I should go check to see if Derek is ok or just start working. I decided that I would go talk to Alex first.

Meredith: Alex are you okay what happened

Alex: I'm sorry mer I just got so angry when I found out he cheated on you,Cristiana left me you when she left, I'm your person and I got mad and I got into a fight with Derek

Meredith: thank you for trying to care but you can't just go and beat him up, even though he cheated on me he is still my husband at the moment and the father of my children, trust me I'm so angry at him and I don't know if our marriage will be able to survive this

Alex: I'm sorry Meredith and I just have a bit of a hurt hand so I won't be able to operate for a while , and maybe you should go talk to Derek and make sure he is ok and tell him sorry for me. Just for the record I hope you guys stay together, you are the dream couple in the hospital and now you have the dream family. This is just a bump in the road and just for the record I agree with everything Callie said In the tunnels so I'm on team Merder. You guys are living proof that love exists

Meredith: I will Alex , and no more fights please. Alex I don't know if that's true anymore he obviously doesn't love me enough because if he did he wouldn't have cheated on me. I think Merder is going to be over.
