Alyson Michalka as Jessica on the side
*Stephen's POV*
I opened my eyes and allowed them to slowly adjust to the darkness in the room. The only light present was coming from my window. I didn't have much strength in my arms or my legs, and my head hurt. I felt sleepy and the more I thought about it, the more I craved sleep and for my body to feel whole again. I rolled over and allowed myself to fall alseep once more.

"You will soon understand just how powerful we really are." Nails dug into my neck as the voice came. It rang far passed my ears and into my mind. Almost as if whoever was strangling me, was inside my head too.
"Let. Him. Go." Tony's voice was deep and strained as if he was holding back whatever pent up anger he had inside of him.
"Shut up, Dog. You're lucky we're not finishing you off first."
I wasn't aware of my surroundings and the pain in my neck and head were growing. I tried to talk but everything came out in a muffled sound.
"Tell Lin I said Hi." In one swift movent, I felt the nails drag across my neck; tearing through skin and tissue with ease.
I fell to the ground with a thud and the burning sensation in my neck was soon followed by numbness in my hands and feet. The last thing I heard was a loud, piercing howl. The sound of Tony's broken soul rang through my ears as everything faded to black.

I sat up in a pool of sweat and my body wracked with chills. Everything felt so real. The pain, the voice, Tony's cries. I ran my fingers through my drenched hair and sighed. Why would I have a dream like that? Before I was able to give the question much thought, I heard my phone vibrating.
I slid my finger across the screen without checking who was calling.
"Hello?" I said, my voice sounding strained and raw.
"Hey, you okay?" Tony's voice instantly had my heartbeat increasing.
"Um.. I think so. Just a bad dream."
"Oh, okay. Wanna talk about it?"
"No, I kinda wanna forget it." I admitted.
"Okay. Well, go back to sleep babe. I promise you won't have any more bad dreams tonight."
Tony's reassuring voice had me convinced. We said our goodbyes and hung up. My shirt and sheets were still damp from the night terror that was still fresh in my mind. Slowly, I got up and grabbed a quilt from the hall closet; placing it lazily over my sheets.
I changed into a new shirt and climbed back into bed. Despite my unwillingness to fall asleep, the act consumed me in minutes.

The light coming from my window pulled me out of my sleep. The only difference I noticed from the last time I woke up, was my strength. I actually felt stronger. Almost more alive. I sat up, and went downstairs.
Aunt Linda was sitting at the table with a glass of tea.
"Good Morning, Sweet heart. How are you?" She asked with a smile.
"Um, I'm really good actually."
"Well, I wouldn't be surprised. You've been asleep for two days now." Her words shocked me and I almost choked on the water I had gotten.
"Two days!! But, Tony brought me home yesterday, didn't he?"
"No, Tony brought you home Wednesday afternoon and you slept right through yesterday." She explained.
