*Tony's POV*

I hopped into my car and started towards the pack house to grab a few things before I surprised Stephen. He sounded a little distressed when I talked to him the other night, but I'm sure a good nights rest was all that he needed. And I hope that, that's just what he got. I'd hate to have him be tired and out of it when I saw him.

I hummed along to the tune of 17 Crimes by AFI as I pulled in front of the pack house. My dad was standing along side my uncle John as they taught a few new deffensive moves to the rising War Wolves. They went out on missions with the leader, Kyle Sanders, to keep enemy wolves off our land. He stepped into his father's place about a month ago after finding his mate and proving himself worthy. He didn't seem quite the same as I last remembered him, but my dad assured me it was just the War Wolf gene. They were naturally bitter and easily angered. But hey, whatever keeps my pack house safe.

I started up the steps of the house when my dad called me. I turned to see him heading towards me with a smile.

"You're home early. Have a good day?" He asked.

"Oh, uh.. yeah. I'm going to visit a friend so I kinda gotta head upstairs..."

"I won't be long, I just wanted to congragulate my son." My dad's smile grew about two inches wider as he said this.

"Congragulate me on what?" I asked nervously.

"Oh c'mon Tony. You really think your own father couldn't smell her on you?"

"Uh.. I-I don't know what you're talking about..."

"Sure you do! Do you think she's the one? I really can't wait to meet her son!"

"Did he tell you her name yet, Anthony?" My mom came out from behind me. Her dark brown hair flowed in the wind and over her hazel eyes as she rubbed her belly.

I was excited to have another sibling on the way but, also very worried. If I had a brother who also gained the Beta gene, will he take my place? Would the Spirits grant him a female mate? A werewolf one with blonde hair and blue eyes?

My wolf silently cried in my disappointment with myself. I love Stephen, of course. But if he was a girl, things might not be as complicated as they are.

"Not yet. C'mon son, what's her name?"

"It's not important. You'll meet them in time, when I find my mate. But until I do, I'm just going to see my friend." I explained.

"But-"

"Leave him, Anthony. He's a big boy and he'll tell us when he's ready. Go ahead and get your things honey. Will you be staying over at this mystery friends house?" My mom smiled softly as she placed herself next to my dad.

"Staying over?! Are you trying to get him to have pups already?!"

"Pups? Honey please. Whoever it isn't a wolf. Or at least she doesn't smell like it."

"He's a wolf, therefore his children shall be pups. And pups or not, you better be the only Olmos expecting around here."

"Oh my God... I'm leaving. Why must my parents make these awkward assumptions."

"Because you don't give them much room to make the correct ones." My uncle John said as he practically appeared out of no where.

"Jesus, can't I go see a friend without every pack member in this house jumping on my tail!" I said as I stormed up the stairs into my room.

I had about had it with all these questions. My wolf didn't take much liking to it either. We just wanted to see our mate. I can speak for the both of us when I say that missing him is a dramatic understatement.
