Hey guys. So this is a more serious topic that I wanted to bring up because a lot of people are unaware of this kind of stuff.

This was inspired by my bae The Gabbie Show. She talked about this in a recent video and I wanted to spread the message.

Being a person who is white some people may say I have no right to say these things. I'm sorry if I word anything wrong that makes it sound offensive. My goal in writing this is to make people aware, mostly white people.

The reason there are so many movements for black people and other people of color, but not whites, is because people of color are oppressed, not whites. Black Lives Matter does not mean that white lives do not matter. The movement is trying to get the message across that all lives matter and people should not be oppressing and killing people for being a different race because even though they look different then the majority (whites) they are human and just like everyone else.

Being white I most likely have more privilege then a black person for a lot of reasons that many people take for granted. I have white privilege and it's strange that that's a thing because people of a different race just have different skin color.

Say you're white. But you are homeless, homosexual, and transgender. You have more privilege then someone who has all of those problems but are African American.

This is being posted because people take what they have for granted. We should respect what we have and help in all ways possible to help people who don't have what we have.

This is what we take for granted. Whites can feel safe in airport security just because of their skin color. People will only fear you for a good reason, not because of your race. (Some of Gabbie's words). I was never taught not to wear a hoodie out in public. (Hypothetically speaking) (again in Gabbie's words) If my husband was shot 4 times point blank in front of my three year old daughter for obeying the officers orders, I would not be obligated to call his shooter sir.

That is white privilege.

I encourage everyone to spread this message please.

I also encourage you to read some articles on this topic and check your white privilege online.

Bye.
