"M-Mr. Davenport. What do we do?" Bree asked, giving him back the note, wiping the fresh tears in her eyes. She never meant to hurt Chase, at all.

He tensed and rubbed his eyes, before sitting on the couch with an uneasy look. He sighed. "You guys aren't gonna like this but I think we should let him do this."

"What?" They all asked, shocked expressions appearing on their faces.

Mr. Davenport winced but nodded. "Listen, guys. He said he feels out of place and if there's anything I want to do, is to make Chase happy. Do you guys want him to be happy?"

Everyone nodded slowly, looking down at their feet.

"Good. Listen, you guys have a class to teach so get going." Bree could tell Mr. Davenport's voice was wavering but she shook it aside as she left to go teach her class.

Chase smiled at the work they did to his new room. The walls were now blue, and covered in posters of Chase's favourite video games and movies. He had a big bed pushed against the far wall and a desk with a pile of homework and a bookshelf next to his bed, filled with multiple books. He also had a dresser, a blue rug, and a door to his own personal bathroom.

Tasha smiled. "We did a good job, didn't we?"

Chase nodded, wiping the sweat off his forehead. He never realized how much harder work was without his bionics. "Yeah. Thanks Tasha."

She smiled, and ruffled his hair. "You are very welcome sweetie. I'm going to get ready for my interview now. See you soon!"

Tasha ran out and Chase sat down on his bed, pulling out Moby Dick from his bookshelf and flipped to a random page and began reading.

He heard a knock and saw Douglas standing in the doorway, smiling. Chase gestured Douglas to come in and put the book down. "Hey Chase. How are ya?"

"Good." Chase replied, smiling.

"That's good. Hey listen, I was hoping you and I could have some quality father-son bonding time this afternoon. We could, go to the park or get some ice cream or even play catch or something."

Chase smiled. "Okay first of all, I'm not five. But hey, why not."

Douglas grinned like an idiot and hugged Chase, before practically bouncing out of the room to prepare.

A bad feeling was weaving in the pit of Chase's stomach but he dismissed it as he went back to reading.

"You ready to go kid?" Douglas asked from the front door. Chase nodded and walked downstairs, wearing a green t shirt with a grey hoodie and blue jeans, with his usual grey high tops. He ran out the door and stopped in his tracks when he saw the shiniest black metal motorcycle he'd ever seen. It was red, silver and black, the metal shining in the sun.

Chase whistled.

Douglas patted him on the shoulder. "So, what's it feel like to have a cool father?"

"I don't what does it feel like?" Chase said sarcastically, smiling.

"Ha ha ha." Douglas said in an unamusemed tone, giving Chase a helmet and securing his own. He hopped on the bike and smiled. "Hop on kid."
