Title: Depend on God
Introduction
As Christians, we are called to depend not on ourselves, not on others, but fully on God — because He alone is our source of wisdom, strength, timing, defense, and security.
Let's talk about 5 ways to depend on God.
1. Depend on God's Wisdom, Not Yours
- Jesus is the source of all true wisdom.
Pero tandaan: the more you know God, the more you realize how much you need Him.
Proverbs 9:7–8
- The Word of God is the source of divine wisdom.
- Don't depend on your understanding; depend on the Lord's direction.
2. Depend on God's Strength, Not Yours
- Nakalimutan mong may Diyos kang pwedeng sandalan.
Deuteronomy 31:6
"Magpakatapang kayo.
- Your strength will run out — but God's strength never will.
- When you depend on your strength, you get exhausted.
- When you depend on God's strength, you get renewed.
- Remember, kahit mahina ka, "In your weakness, God's strength is made perfect."
- Show the world that you are strong, not because of you — but because of the God who lives in you.
3. Depend on God's Timing, Not Yours
- We live in a "now" generation — instant noodles, instant love, instant success.
- Pero si Lord, hindi nagmamadali.
- God's timing is always perfect — never early, never late.
- Maybe you're waiting for a job, healing, breakthrough, or love life.
- Be patient, because what God is preparing is always better than what you're expecting.
- While waiting, don't waste your waiting — work while you wait.
- Do something meaningful as you trust His timing.
- Because when the right time comes, you'll understand why God made you wait.
4. Depend on God's Defense, Not Yours
Psalm 118:13–14
"I was pushed back and about to fall, but the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation."
- Don't be a man pleaser, be a God pleaser.
- Let God fight your battles.
- You don't have to prove anything to people — God will be your vindication.
- When you depend on God's defense, you can stay calm even in conflict, because you know Who stands beside you.
5. Depend on God's Security, Not Yours
Psalm 91:4
"He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart."
- We don't always see it, but God is constantly protecting us — from accidents, temptations, and unseen dangers.
- Your true security is not in what you have, but in Who you have — and that's Jesus.
Conclusion
So, saan ka dumedepende ngayon?
Kung naniniwala ka na may isang Diyos na nagmamalasakit, nagpoprotekta, at nagmamahal sa'yo — then TRUST HIM COMPLETELY.
Psalm 146:5–7
Final Thought:
Dependence on God is not a sign of weakness — it's a declaration of faith. Because when you depend on God, you're saying: "Lord, I can't, but I know You can."
