Verses with Reflection 1

1. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." -Philippians 4:13

Dapat isaalang-alang ang bersikulong ito sapagkat dito tayo nasusubok ng Diyos kung gaano tayo katatag sa buhay natin. Kung gaano tayo kalakas sa mga pagsubok at unos na dumarating sa buhay natin. At dito rin natutukoy kung saan kaya nating malampasan ang lahat basta sa kasama lang natin si Hesus.

2. "The joy of the Lord is your strength." -Nehemiah 8:10

When God smiles at you, he is doing something best on your life that put you in your great strength. Parang this verse is telling me, "this is your right time, finally! God smiles at me!"

Ibig sabihin lang nito na ito na iyong tamang oras para sa mga kahilingan natin. So, when it happened on your life, be happy and be thankful for what God gave you.

3. "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." -John 8:12

The most enticing aspect of sin is the promise of freedom. Even from the first temptation, in the garden of Eden, man has assumed that defying God is a way to control his own destiny. In fact, the opposite is true. Nothing enslaves like sin-it corrupts our thinking, controls our actions, and destroys our peace. Worst of all, it separates us from God (Ephesians 2:12) and condemns us to an eternity of loneliness and shame (Matthew 8:12). Jesus, on the other hand, represents the truth-that is, Himself. This is theme Christ will return to often in His teaching (John 14:6; John 8:12). No other claims are true, and nothing but truth can really free us.

Comforting lies are never as beneficial as loving truth. Even when the truth is not what we want to hear, we can't expect to make good decisions or correct choices when we're operating under the control of a lie. As Christ stated earlier in this dialogue, He-alone-is the "light of the world," the one and only means to apprehend truth. True freedom is found in forgiveness of sin and service to God, and this is only found when we accept Jesus.

4. "I am sending you." -Matthew 10:16

Short message pero sobrang meaningful, right? God send us here to preach the gospel. To preach his word. We are his instrument para gamitin sa mga salita niya.

Wag nating sayangin ang mga oras at mga araw na ibinibigay niya sa atin. Kailangan nating mag-win ng soul and make disciples. Ako, noon.. hindi ko alam kung anong purpose ko sa mundong ito.

I am catholic way back then pero sobrang kulang ng alam ko tungkol sa Lord until naka-attend ako sa born again. I've changed. I've changed for good. Hindi sa ayoko sa catholic ha? Siguro nakulangan lang ako. But my parents are catholic and I respect them. I respect Catholic dahil do'n ako nanggaling. And here, I'm writing here. I am sharing you through this. I used my skills to preach the word of God. Kasi di ba, anong purpose ng pagiging writer ko kung hindi naman ako magshe-share sa inyo ng word of God? I am not selfish para angkinin lang yung alam ko. Gusto ko, kung anong alam ko, ishe-share ko sa lahat.

Hindi ko alam kung may magbabasa nito pero alam ko si Lord ang gagawa. Si Lord ang kikilos para palaganapin tong gawa ko. So this is his purpose for me. To be his instrument para ipakalat yung words niya. I hope all of you treasure all of this. It can help you, swear to God. :)

5. "Come and follow me."

If I ask you guys.. will you come to Jesus if he calls you? Will you follow him as he wants you to follow him? Handa mo bang iwan ang lahat para sa kanya?

Ang kayamanan mo? Ang lahat. Lahat ng meron ka, even your family. Will you? I know all of you will have a doubt. Magdadalwang isip kayo kung susunod ka sa kanya o hindi.

Ang pamilya mo? Iiwanan mo? Sobrang hirap diba? Parang maisip mo pa lang na iiwan mo sila, your heart tear into pieces. Even me, I will doubt pero I will choose to follow Jesus. Why? Dahil kung hindi siya nag-sakripisyo, hindi ako ligtas. Sobrang mas mahalaga siya compare sa family ko. At alam ko, kapag sumama ako sa kanya, hindi niya pababayaan ang mga mahal ko sa buhay.

At isa pa, siya lang ang pinakalubos kong pinagkakatiwalaan. Siya lang yung napapagsabihan ko ng problema pag walang wala na talaga ako. So yeah, I'm choosing him. I am a Christian and I don't want to disappoint my Lord. I don't want him to be lonely. I want Jesus to be happy and I hope you will do the same thing too.
