Chapter 5

I looked at my phone and I sighed in relief, thank god. I was praying that dad wouldn't call me and he didn't. I was so happy. but it did say unknown name, idk who it is... I'm nervous.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Alexa?"

"Dad...?!?"

"Yeah. I called from a pay phone because I knew you wouldn't answer me. can we talk?" he asked obviously pissed.

"I don't know, will you remember it after words?" I asked a little harsher then I thought.

"God damn it Alex I--" I cut him off.

"My names Alexa."

"Oh really, your going to be smart with me? do you want me to come get you?"

"No thanks. id rather not be around a drunk."

"What the fuck is your problem?" he yelled.

"What's my problem? WHATS MY PROBLEM? Do you even know who your talking to? I'm your mother fucking daughter. I'm the one you've been blocking out since my mom left. the one who has no life because of the damaged you caused. the one who is embarrassed to call you her father. that's just sad dad. I hate you. I do, I can't believe this is what has come to. your ruining my life. don't call me ever again! I mean it Joe. I - I'm done with your bullshit!" I yelled crying.

With that I hung up, I can't talk anymore. I put my phone down and started balling. I can't believe I'm crying in front of Austin but its happening.

"Are you okay?"

"No." I said sobbing.

Austin stopped the car on the side of the road and now I'm crying uncontrollably. he leans over and hugs me, he rubs my back.

"Shh, don't cry babe."

Babe? did he just call me babe? no, I must be hearing things. this is just a dream.

"Everything's going to be alright."

Then Austin started singing "Heart in my Hand" by him. I knew he sings but never took the time the Listen to it. he's so good, as weird as it is he calmed me and relaxed me. made me forget about everything. I started singing with him.

"Well lets go back to the day when I saw your face for the very first time."

"I knew you were the one you know my life has just begun, baby you can count on me." He sang.

"Because your heart, is in my hand. because your heart is in my hand, oh woah yeah." we sang together as we looked directly into each others eyes. he smile and I smiled back. he gave me a kiss on the check.

"You alright now?"

"I think. thank you Austin."

"Its nothing babe, really."

"Why do you keep calling me babe?"

"Do you not like it?"

"No I do, just I don't know. never mind."

"Alright babe" he said with a wink. I giggled.

When we finally got to his house, I was calmed and collected. I made the salad and he made the chicken.

"So what's happening with you and your dad? you don't have to answer, I'm just curious."

"It's fine. but my parents split obviously and he went to drinking. he's always drunk and rude to me. I get those good days where he got laid the night before and he will actually talk to me. but I got a call from Justin Bieber asking if he can sign me and said I have to move here for it to work."

"Wait Justin Bieber wants to sign you?!? that's amazing. I wanna hear you sing sometime but anyways carry on." he interrupted with a smile.

"Yeah that would be awesome but anyways I asked Joe if I could move with mom and he was actually sober, well I thought. he said yes and so did my mom and then right before I was about to go on the flight here he called and ask where I am. he didn't remember a thing that i told him and he doesn't even support me. he's a fucking ass hole that needs to die in a hole." I said with a straight face.

Austin started laughing.

"What?" I asked laughing as well.

"I just love how you said that with a straight face. it's kind of funny but I'm sorry for this ssituation if you need anyone to talk to, I'm here."

"Haha okay thank you 'babe'" I said mocking him.

He laughed and then pouted then laughed again. this boy is so cute but why is he being nice to a fat ugly girl like me? he can do so much better. I don't deserve him.

After we ate he asked me if I want to meet some of his friends. I said yeah and we made our way to the car.

"My bestfriends name is Alex Constancio and he has a sister named Melissa, there twins and super nice. me and Mel had a think for each other and then I felt wrong so we just stayed friends. uhm there's Robert Villanueva, there's Alexs girlfriend Haley Smith, she alright. she's the jealous type just saying, she will rip your head off. there's Zach Dorsey, he's really cool. then there Alexs ex Sarah and she like tries and kills us but there nothing to be worried about."

"Okay well that's a lot to take in haha."

"I know but we are pretty cool people, you can trust most of us."

"What do you mean? most of us?" he's scaring me now.

"Haley is a bitch sometimes. be careful, I'm just saying."

Right then Austin's phone rings.

"Speaking of the devil."
