"Remember that time we snuck into the movies and switched all the tapes so they'd play wrong?" I watched as he threw the stone across the moon lit water and as it splashed to the bottom.

"Yeah. Those people must have been so pissed when they went to see whatever stupid movie and got...what was it like Yogi Bear or some crap?" I picked up a rock and tossed it before it sank to the bottom of the pond.

"What're you thinking about Christine?" He started picking at the leaves next to him and throwing them at the water.

"Nothing really. Why Teddy?" I looked over at him and how his green eyes were shined in the night.

"Just wondering. You don't seem as interested in the conversation as you normally are, that's all." He stood up and walked to the waters edge. I got up and walked next to him. "One day, when I'm older I'm gonna run out and get a boat. And then I can just sit my lazy ass at the dock and stare out at the water."

"Sounds like a fun life," I said standing at the tree to his left. "If I could do anything in the world, I'd just...I'd build a tree house like one from Hook and live in it. I'd be like Peter Pan and just do that. No one would know where I was and I could do what I wanted." A couple of lighting bugs came and flashed over the water before they carelessly slipped down and landed in the water.

"Could I come along to your tree house?" He walked over to me and shrank down a bit, leaning into my chest.

"I don't know, can I live on your house boat and be a lazy ass?" I saw him smirk and I ran my fingers through his dark hair.

"You can live with me and together we can be lazy asses. Deal Chrissie?" He moved up, his actual height towering over me. "Pinkie promise."

I rolled my eyes. "God you're a big child Teddy," I said sticking out my pinky and linking it with his. "Now seal it with a kiss," and we kissed the others hand.

"Hey, Christine?"

"Yeah Teddy?" His arms wrapped around my waist and I rested mine on his shoulders.

"I think I like you a lot."

"I already know you like me you're my boyfriend."

"I know, I mean...I think I like you more."

"Like...like you love me?" I stuttered out as he pushed me against the tree. He nodded.

"I think I love you."

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

I groaned and slid my finger across my phone to stop my alarm. That was the first time I had a dream about Teddy since he died. Two years of feeling empty made my stomach churn and my head spin. I put my head in my hands and I yelled.

"Christine! Are you okay?" My mom rushed into my room and sat next to me in my bed. "Why were you yelling?"

"I had a dream about Teddy for the first time in two years," I said looking at her and I could tell my face read distress and angst.

"Oh baby," she said pulling me into her chest and stroking my hair. "You want me to take you to school?" I hadn't noticed it was Monday, seeing how I slept through all of Sunday practically.

"Yeah, give me some time to get ready?" She nodded before kissing my head and walking out of the room. I sighed and looked out my window. Rain splattered the glass and the grey in the sky stretched out for miles and didn't look like it would stop.
