I woke up the next morning, my face pressed against the mattress and a heavy feeling on my back. My thighs itched, and as I brought my leg around to itch it, I realized I was still wearing my socks from yesterday. I hooked my thumb into the leg and brought it down, pulling the fabric down and throwing it onto the floor. I did the same for the other leg and sighed in content as my legs were able to breathe. I turned to my head and saw Luke, sleeping with messy hair and face soft as his mouth hung open and drool clinging to his cheek. I pushed his arm off of me and sat up, taking the sheet and cleaning his cheek.

"Morning baby," I said leaning down and kissing his forehead softly. He stirred softly before opening his eyes to look at me.

"Good morning indeed," he said sitting up and kissing me softly. His hand went to my neck and pulled me closer to him. His thumb brushed over my cheek, and I realized to myself I didn't flinch at the bruise. "Your bruise is gone."

"No wonder I didn't flinch," I said grabbing his wrist and rubbing it. "Last night was fun."

His lips kissed down my cheek to my neck, his breath tickling me slightly. "I've been wanting to do that to you for so long...actually prove to you that I love you."

"Luke, you practically saved me from my dad. I'm pretty sure that proves how much you love me." I turned my head so it bumped his and kissed his temple. "Were you serious that you jacked off to me?"

He looked up at me and I could see the blush on his cheeks as he looked at his hands. "Yes...are you mad at me?"

"It's disgusting yes. But at least it was me and not someone else," I said tilting his chin up and kissing him. His arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me into his lap. "I love you."

"I love you too," he said pulling back and leaning his forehead against mine. I smiled at him and quickly kissed him again. As we sat on the bed making out, a constant knocking at the door tore our attention away from each other.

"I'll get it." He got up and slid on a pair of boxers. I blushed as his back was covered in bright red scratches from last night. He walked out the door and his hair was pulled up in the back and I realized it was all flat in the front. "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!"

I quickly sat up and pulled on my underwear and Lukes shirt, walking painfully to the living room. My legs were killing me and I didn't actually think I'd be sore. "Luke, what-" But his brother standing there in front of him holding a folder in his hand.

"Hey Christine. This is for you." He handed me the folder and I opened it, looking at the legal documents.

"What the hell is this?" I said looking up at him.

"Legal papers saying that the gym he owned is now sold. Those are the papers he put in your name, and that little figure at the bottom," he said pulling out a piece of paper and pointing at the bottom of the page. "Is all of his money left to you."

My mouth fell open just looking at the dollar amount. "This...what the fuck this is a lot of money," I said looking through the rest of the folder. Two pieces of paper were in there, folded like a letter.

Dear Mr. Betting,

We have taken your inquiry about paying all four years of college for Mr. Luke Hemmings. Taking it into consideration, and the amount of money you're donating to the physical activities department in light of him, we accept your offer. You will be sent a letter later with the bill for what ever is necessary. If he changes his mind about anything, then the money you have donated or are willing to pay for him will go to that. Thank you, and have a good day.

Sincerely,

Application Center for University of California, Los Angeles.

Followed by that letter was one exactly like it except with my name and it said music department. My dad was willing to pay close to five hundred thousand dollars for the both of us and the weird thing to me was, he nearly killed me. But like he said he was trying to make it up the best he could.

"And, if you two get dressed, I can show you the apartment he picked out for you."

"He bought us a house?" Luke and I said in unison, looking at Jack in amazement.

"Put on clothes so I can show you." He turned to sit on the couch and turned on the TV. "It's a three hour drive hurry up."

"Your dad couldn't have bought a plane ticket?" Luke mumbled as he wrapped an arm around my waist and walked us back to the bedroom. "I'm sorry, this isn't how I planned on our Saturday going. I was gonna take us to the movies and-"

"Hey. As long I get to be with you I'm fine." I grabbed his face and rubbed his neck. "And we can do that next weekend if you want."

"Promise?" He said handing me a pair of my jeans and my bra.

"Promise," I said putting on the clothes, along with some deodorant and my jacket. He smiled at me and helped me walk out into the living room and I could see the smirk on his face.

"I like knowing I made you sore," he said kissing my neck. "Come on Jack, I want to hurry this up." Jack nodded and opened the door, opening it and walking towards the elevator.

"This place looks amazing," I said as we stood in the empty living room of the condo. It reminded me sort of like the hotel room we stayed at in Portland. The walls were cream white color, one wall being complete glass as it looked out on the beach. I remember saying how I hated the beach and the forest was more my forte, but seriously, this was gorgeous.

"It's like a private beach," Luke said walking onto the patio. There were plenty of green plants that looked like they couldn't over grow and a birchwood path that lead to the ocean.

"Yep, and there's an upstairs where the master bedroom is and there's another room that's like an office," Jack said leaning on the counter. "Ready to live in whenever you want."

"Why do you think he did all of this for us?" Luke asked as I took in the sight of the ocean.

"To make up for fifteen lost years." I stared out the window wall and I felt Lukes hand entwine with mine.

"This is our future. Right here," he said stomping the floor.

"And your college is only five miles away," Jack said jumping off of the counter. "Means if you actually care about your futures, you can make it on time."

I was gonna respond when I felt my phone go off in my pocket. Pulling it out, I swiped across the screen to read the text from Kirsten.

From Kirsten Jamisen:

Prom dress shopping tomorrow? Pleaseeeeeeeeeee I miss you

To Kirsten Jamisen:

Clingy fuck I'll go dress shopping with you

"Hey Luke, you haven't forgotten about prom have you?"

"No why?"

"I'm gonna find a prom dress with Kirsten tomorrow." Jack scoffed and I looked at him. "What is it?"

"Well Luke says this place is your future...your future doesn't really start until after prom and graduation."

"Shut up Jack. Lets just go home." Luke tugged at me and we got into Jacks car. And that's when the sudden realization hit me:

I'm growing up. I'm gonna be an actual adult in a few months. Holy shit
