Luke POV

The next day we had gone back to school. People stared at us, probably thinking we had been dead since we hadn't showed up in almost a month. But things happen that can't be properly explained and as we walked down the halls to our first class, we ignored the stares. Our hands were wound tightly together as people whispered things.

As we walked into class, Mr. Holmes of course wasn't there, he never was here until the bell rang, but of course there was Amber Wellington with her clique of bottle blonde sluts. If you wanted to see the real life Mean Girls, this class was it. She was Regina George and she controlled the other two girls, Cassie Hart and Megan Freck. I felt their eyes burn into my skin as I helped Christine into her seat, telling her how I'd go get some tissues for her since her nose was running.

"Luke," Amber said as I grabbed the tissue box. "Saw you helping Christine over there."

"Yeah, her side hurts after surgery so," I said trying to avoid the conversation best as possible. I really didn't like Amber, especially after what Christine had told me about her earlier when we first began dating. Apparently she was the one who was sleeping with Teddy all the time to make Christine jealous. She hated Amber and everyone knew Amber had a big crush on me.

"Well, are you guys still dating?" She popped the gum in her mouth annoyingly and twirled her hideous blonde hair around her finger.

"Does it matter to you? Are you gonna treat me like her last boyfriend?" I pushed past her, causing her to stumble and look at me in shock.

"Luke, I think we both know what you want from a girl," she said grabbing my shoulder as I began to walk down the aisle to my seat. "And clearly she isn't giving you what you want."

"If I wanted anything from you, I'd have to be tied up and drugged to get you to touch me in any sexual way." I took her hand and pushed it down. "Now go fuck some dumbass, Amber. I have better things to do then talk to a slut like you." I kept walking and sat next to Christine who was on her phone.

"Oh Luke, if only you knew how good of a fuck I was!" She shouted at the front of the classroom, making the fifteen people inside look at her.

Christine looked up and rolled her eyes, well eye considering her left one was still bruised. "Oh Amber, the whole school knows how good of a fuck you are. All you do is brag about it and all the guys do is complain about how you had to fake." She went back to her phone and bit the inside of her cheek.

I had honestly never heard her talk to anyone other than the people she was comfortable with, but then again she hated Amber. She hated how she ruined her previous relationship, how she ruined the life she tried to make perfect.

"You know what Douglas, at least if I had a boyfriend, I wouldn't hold out on him as long as you have!"

"That's it," Christine muttered under her breath, slamming her things on the desk and making her way up to the front of the room. I looked at the clock and noticed how class should be starting in five minutes. She had five minutes for a fight and I was ready to witness it.

"Oh look, the cripple doesn't need her boyfriend!" Amber laughed, causing people to look at her with disgust and embarrassment. "You're just jealous of me Christine. Everyone knows you are, just admit it."

"I'm resentful of you, you slut. You ruined my first relationship. You've ruined every perfect couple that you can get your hands on. You don't want to find happiness, you want to destroy it. So why would I be jealous of you? There is nothing to be jealous of in nothing but a common whore. You repel me, you make my eyes water. And you know what I know you don't think I know?" Christine was in her face and both of them were breathing harshly. I looked at the doorway and saw Mr. Holmes staring at the scene, books and coffee in hand. He didn't do anything, he wanted to see this go down as much as we did.
