"What did you think of that?" I asked as the Netflix suggested more movies to watch.

"We just watched a movie...about a tire that goes around killing people." She had decided on spending the night at my house, and it was now 12 in the morning. "Why did we just watch this?" She asked as she pulled her sweatshirt over her head, revealing a black tank top.

"Well we watched practically every other movie on Netflix," I said leaning my head onto her shoulder. "Do you want to watch The Human Centipede?" I asked with a teasing tone.

"Fuck no, that movie scares the living shit out of me," she said shoving my arm. "We could go get ice cream."

"It's twelve at night, who's open to get you soft serve?" I asked looking up at her.

"Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Wendys, Sonic-do you want me to keep going?" She said looking down on me with a smirk on her face. I playfully shoved her so she fell onto the couch before pulling out my phone.

"Where can I get ice cream at twelve in the morning?" I said into the microphone before it replied with a Dairy Queen around the corner.

"It said Dairy Queen didn't it?" She said, still looking up at the ceiling.

Sighing in defeat, I looked at her to see a smirk plastered onto her face. "Come on, lets go get you soft serve," I said taking her hand and pulling her up. She reached behind her and pulled her sweatshirt over her head as I got on my hoodie before opening the door for her.

Driving to the restaurant, we listened to All Time Low's album "Don't Panic: It's Longer Now" which she seemed to like. "Why aren't you singing along like you normally do?" I asked, looking over at her.

"Don't feel like it," she said looking out the window. "Over break, we should go somewhere, the two of us." She turned her head so that she was staring straight ahead, the yellow from the street light reflecting off her glasses.

"Like where? Where do you wanna go Chrissie?" I asked as I pushed my foot against the gas and turned into the parking lot of Dairy Queen.

"Lets go to Oregon," she said as I pulled into the drive through. "I don't know lets just go somewhere alright?" She seemed like she was getting frustrated and I knew that she could get like this if she was feeling tired.

"Yeah, two vanilla ice cream cones please," I said into the microphone before the voice on the other end told me the total. I pulled out my wallet and grabbed a five, switching with the man who gave me the ice cream. She took one from me before slowly eating it. I on the other hand ate mine quickly, caring more about how she was feeling at the moment. "Okay. How about after Christmas we can go to Oregon. Alright? You and me, a week or two." I grabbed her free hand and intertwined our fingers together, rubbing my thumb over her knuckles.

"You mean it?" She asked looking over at me. I nodded, smiling which in turn caused her to smile. "Okay, I'll talk to my mom when she gets back and...yeah it should be fun." She finished eating her ice cream and gave me her cone, saying she wasn't in the mood to finish it.

"Christine you're tired, come on lets get you to bed," I said as we pulled into the garage.

"Why can't I just sleep in the car?" She whined out. She was being irrationally tired and I had no idea why. Maybe it was just sleep deprivation and maybe she just was still a little stressed because of all the studying she had to do with finals. And I understood that, but I had no idea why she was acting like this.

"Come on you big baby," I said getting out of the car and going over to her side and taking her out of the car. I picked her up bridal style and her arms wrapped around my shoulders. I kicked the door shut with my foot before locking the car and going over to the elevator. It opened and I walked in, her head nuzzled into my chest. "You still awake."

"Yeah." She craned her neck and looked up at me, her green eyes wide as she slowly blinked.

"Lets get you to bed, sweetheart," I said as we exited on my floor and walked to my apartment. I let her down, but she still had her arms wrapped around my waist as I unlocked the door, letting us in. "You can wear one of my shirts and a pair of my boxers to bed babe," I said as we walked down the hallway to my room.

"That's fine, then I'll smell like you," she said with a small giggle. I smiled down at her, leaning down and kissing her head. We went into my room where she sat on the edge of the bed, taking her sweatshirt off along with her shoes. "You have that picture of us from homecoming," she said walking next to me at my dresser and picking up the picture.

"Why wouldn't I?" I asked as she looked at it.

"It was like one of our first dates," she said with a smile before putting the picture back. "I pressed the flowers in the corsage you gave me."

"That...that's cute. But now they won't smell." I took out one of my old Nirvana shirts and a pair of my boxers and held them out to her.

"I know they won't. But it's like a reminder that someone actually gave me one." She leaned up and kissed my cheek before going into my bathroom to get changed. I rubbed my cheek where she kissed me. How did I honestly get a girl like her? She seems so different then anyone I had ever been with and I can honestly say that the change is different, and it feels nice.

I quickly undressed, taking my shirt and jeans off before pulling on a pair of sweatpants and jumping on my bed. I nuzzled my head into a pillow before hearing the bathroom door open and the light turn off. I rolled over onto my back and looked at the ceiling as she put her glasses and phone onto the bedside table before getting in next to me.

"What are you thinking about?"

"You. How lucky I am to have you." I turned my head and saw she was staring at the patterns the light coming in through the window made on the ceiling. "What are you thinking about."

"How much I love you." She said, her chest rising and falling slowly. I noticed how she had taken her hair out if its braid and how wavy it was. I ran my fingers over the bumps and she looked at me. "When will you tell me about yourself?"

"Soon. I promise, Christine. I hate having to keep secrets but I'll tell you everything soon." I grabbed her hand off her stomach and kissed her knuckles. "I love you."

"I love you too, Luke," she said moving over so our heads were only inches apart. "Goodnight," she said closing her eyes and squeezing my hand.

I looked at her sleeping face and noticed the curvature of her lips, the shape of her cheekbones as light made its way over my shoulder and shined down on them. The way her eye lashes laid down, slightly curling as she slept. Her nose how it had a little slope to it and how her chin was almost as shapely as her cheeks.

Leaning over, I kissed her forehead, leaving a lingering kiss on her. "Goodnight, my angel." I closed my eyes and pulled her into me, hearing a sigh of relief come from her mouth as she snuggled into my bare chest.

And in turn, I sighed because I was relieved. I had found a safety blanket.

Hey guys! So I'd just like to say thank you so much for the 5.1k reads it means a lot to me that so many people have read it. I'd also like to say sorry if the chapter sucks, I'm currently in study hall at school and I decided to type then sit and do nothing for an hour and a half. But yeah, I'll update once this chapter gets 100 reads and then...I don't know maybe there will be something dramatic? Who knows, we'll have to see :-)

Bye guys and happy reading :-)
