A week later I began to train using the packs workout room in the basement. Over the time it took me to heal I had gain some weight and my muscle were not nearly as tone. Do most people that wouldn't hvlave noticed but for me it was obvious. I was taught from a early are a unfit wolf is a dead wolf.
I'm the basement there is a punching bag that hangs in the middle of the room and weight lifting equipment on the other three walls. I'm the fourth wall someone had set up a full music station. You can play anything from a record to your iPod. I pull out my mp3 and pull it into the dock before turning it in full blast.
My mother used to say that I would ruin my hearing if I listenedto music this loud, but we both knew that wasn't true.
I start with the punching bag. My hands are wrapped to keep my knuckles from splitting.
I hit the bag causing a shock wave up my arm that threatened to break me apart. I shake out my arm before punching again and again. Slowly my body find its old rhythm. The sweat begins the build on my shoulders and back. I can feel my tank top sticking to my back. I feel my muscles begining to burn.
My wolf begins to rise from the dark just in time for someone to open the door. The scent that follows makes me smile.
"Came down to watch, Serria?"
She laughs, "So what if I did?" Her voice rings out from about a foot behind me.
Turning quickly I pull her into a hug.
"Kate, let me go!" She demanded, "You're covered in sweat!"
"Yeah, I know." I kissed her on the cheek before letting go. "What to join in?"
She shrugs her shoulders, "I don't want to get in the way."
"You won't, I was just about to go for a run. Do you want to come?"
"Wolf or human form?"
I smile and begin to take off my tank top, "Wolf, of course. Besides our wolves haven't met offically yet."
After taking the last of my clothing off, I begin to shift.
My wolf is large and black. If it wasn't for the lights being on down stairs all Serria would have been able to see would be my yellow glowing eyes.
Serria follows shortly after me. Her wolf is a deep gray and is about 3/4 my size.
I let my wolf take control. It's time that they finally met. As my wolf walks closer I see the playful look in her eye, just as she turns and takes off at a run. My wolf let out surprised yelp. "Our mate is fast." She remarks just before running off after her. I can feel my soul beginning to rise with every step. I haven't felt this happy since I was a kid.
I lift my nose up in the air to find Serria's scent. A huge grin forms when I smell that it is close. I slow down a little in order to creep up behind her without her noticing.
Laying in the underbrush I can see Serria standing in the clearing. Back in her human form. She is staring up at the sky with a almost sad look in her eyes.
Her back is still to me when I set out of the bushes. Meeting her in the middle of the clearing I softly nudge her hand. Which makes her jump. She looks down at me with unshead years in her eyes.
I shift back into my human form and take her face into my hands. "What is it, baby girl?"
She smiles at the nickname, "Nothing, it just seems too good to be true."
"What seems too good to be true?"
She toughes my cheek causing me to lean into her palm.
"Us."
The look on my face must have shown my confusion, because she quickly began to say, "I've dream of something like this happening so now that it is, it just feels like I'm going to wake up at any given point."
I smile and pull her into a bear hug. Her shoulders begin to shake as she lets the year flow, "I'm not going anywhere. Once I'm done training I will get my title back and you will be my Luna."
