We walk hand and hand through our pack's territory. Everyone stairs at us with calculating eyes. As if they believe if they stair at us long enough we will spill every secret to them.
I meet everyone's eyes and stair them down. Only a few took longer than a mintue to do that. I make a mental note to watch them. As the new Alpha, I should expect some resistance from those who were loyal to Conner. According to pack law they will be able to challenge me in two days time.
Before long, we reach the end of the town and the beginning of the forest area the pack uses on the full moon when everyone shifts. We break through the thick tree layer to the deer path about 50 paces in.
As we follow the path, Serria asks, "Where are we going?"
With a smile, I kiss her on the cheek, "That's for me to know and you to find out."
She groans as I begin to lead her down the path once more. "You know that I hate that remark. Please tell me."
I glace over my shoulder, giving her a knowing smile."No, you will just have to wait and see."
Once again she groans, but she doesn't fight me anymore and follows quitely.
As we walk I remember finding this path almost ten years before.

*flashback*

ac and I are racing each other down the path. Both of our noses following the scent of a deer. When we break through the under brush we find this beautiful little pool with a small waterfall. The water must be collecting in a underground reservoir. I stop lap up some of the cool water. Only to be pushed in from behind. I quickly turn around to see Zac with a big wolfy grin on his face.
"I'm going to get you for that, Zac!" I mind linked him.
"Only if you catch me first!" He turns and takes off at a run back into the forest.
*end of flash back*
Serria touches my cheek and gives me a warm smile, "Are you okay, baby?"
I lean into the touch and nod my head, "Yeah, it's just they place I'm taking you jogged a old memory."
We start to walk again and before too long we find ourselves in the clearing from my memories, untouched and intacted.
"It's beautiful!" Serria gasped. "Where does the water go?"
"There is a old cave system that runs under forest and part of the town. Another enterence is about 8 miles northeast. Although it is covered by a river so it's  almost unnoticeable to the untrained eye.
"My brothers and I found this place about ten years back. As far as I know no one but my brothers and I know about this place. Even in the full moon, when this whole area is crawling with wolves, no one ever comes here. Its like our little sanctuary."
Serria smiles and pulls me into a tight hug. She rubs my back and kisses my cheek. "They are always with you, baby. They watch over us just like the goddess."
She took a step back, "You can feel them closest to you when you're in your wolf form." She shrugs her shoulders and breaths out before changing quickly into her beautiful wolf form. She makes a soft whine and looks me up and down. "Well?" She mind links me.
I quickly follow suit and find myself in my on all fours and shaking out my black fur.
"Close your eyes and breath deeply." I hear my mates voice echo in my head.
I do as she suggests. My head begins to clear, and as that happens my sences became sharper. I can smell the fresh water and the grass, the crashing water is clearer, and the warmth of my mates body rubbing against me.
"Don't feel the surroundings. Look deeper, feel the energy of this place. Open your mind and relax."
I take a few more deep breaths and let the tenson flow out of my muscles. I can feel little sparks of energy coming from Serria's side created by our mate bond. It's intoxicating and makes my wolf want to feel more.
She leans into her more and snuggles her muzzle in Serria's chest. More sparks causes my wolf to sigh with happiness. I can feel her sigh as well when she snuggles in as well.
"Good, now open your sences up and feel the energy in the clearing look for your brother's."
Without moving from my spot I open them up again, but this time the clearing tell a me a different story. At first all I could feel is small traces of energy from the things that have passed through. Mostly deer and fox, but then older energy trails began to form. My brother's energy wrapped me in a tight warm blanket. I can feel a new presence in the clear just as I heard my Ethan's voice in my head. "We are proud of you, sis. You have chosen a strong and beautiful mate."
I got to say something back, but just like it appeared it was gone.
I lift my head away from my mates chest as I feel the tears from in my eyes. Serria smiles at me before licking my cheek. "I love you, Kate."
