As we face each other the crowd begins to quite down. No more loud cheering. No more mindless chit chat.  Only silence.
He grins at me showing off his sharp wolf like teeth. "Issue your challenge, O'Neal." He commands.
"I challenge the alpha of the moonblood pack for the right to rule."
"I except your challenge." A whistle is blown marking the start of the fight.
As part of my studies to become alpha when I was young, I studied the alpha's of every pack. Conner was no exception. I know that he is a strong fighter, but is relatively slow.  This is great for me as long as he doesn't touch me, but that is easier said then done. I stand ready for him to make his first move as he sizes me up.
He was given his postion at birth,  but that doesn't make him weak by any standard. In his time as alpha he took his father's pack of about twenty and turned it into a hundred. By taking on there other alphas and merging their pack in to his. He is smart and tactful. He knows when to attack and when not to. No doubt he did his research in me too.
He stands, with his hands in his pockets, smiling. Waiting for me to make my first move. My wolf wants to take control but if I let her I will shift completely.
He find his opening and begin to charge me. Before I even know what happened he had me by my legs and was pulling me up to throw me over his head. My first instincts is to stiffen, but my wolf tells me to go with the flow. I relax which makes it so that I am able to use my wolf's gracefulness allowing me to twiced and land on my feet reither than my face.
He turns and pulls back his fist, but before he is able to connect I duck down. Using my hands to support me I kick out with both feet hitting his right knee. His knee make a sickening pop as the knee cap is now clearly out of socket. He howls in pain as his body comes crashing down. I jump to my feet where I then do a roundhouse kick to his head.
His head snaps to the side and blood begins to flow down his face from his right temple. He grabs for me, but I jump away too fast.
He stands up, after popping his knee back in place, and touches his bleeding temple. "Brovo, young wolf, no one has been able to draw blood from me before in a fight." He says in his gruff half growl, half human voice.
I scan him again as we begin to circle each other. He is taller than me so I won't be able to get his head again unless I take out his feet. Even though his knee is back in place it is still weak. It will take several hours for it to heal correctly. He now has a obivous limp to his walk. I quickly scan the area out of the corner of my eye. A old discarded tarp is on the edge of the fight ring. That will be my opening.
I take a couple quick steps closer to him. He takes a large step to the side closer to the tarp, his eyes are completely trained on me. I do it again with the same result. He is now only three steps away from the tarp.
I take a step to the side. He follows me, but this time his eyes drift behind me before they quickly snap back to me.
The hair on my arm stands on enda slip second before a pair of strong arms wrap around me. Years of self defence classes kick in. I drive my elbow fast and hard into his solar plexus. My hand go down to grab his balls then I brought my hand still holding trightly to his balls to meet his nose as he is handing over from the first punch.
The once strong man is now in a tight ball of agony. "And that move is called monkey got a apple." I tell facing my opponent again.
