A Jessie J Fan Fic.
The more I thought about it, the more it was beginning to make sense. It never really crossed my mind until now.
Why is it always Jessie? Why does she have this thing about her? This thing where you can’t really say no to her, you can’t not love her, no matter what. I had three sisters, three amazing sisters, Hannah, Rachel and Jessie. But it’s always been Jessie. Always.
All my life it seems like I’ve been asking the same question ‘Why me?’ but now I’m asking ‘Why Jessie?’ Things have a way of working out and everything happens for a reason but I so desperately wanted to know this. ‘Why Jessie?’
As soon as my body began to twitch and my eyes opened, my hand went straight up to my head, grasping it like I never wanted to let go. I rubbed my eyes remembering the deep conversations from last night. It’s weird. Four months ago I would have woke up cringing. I would have cringed at the thought of letting someone know exactly how I feel, but now I couldn’t help but smile.
Last night I found out something truly sad, obviously it really upset me to know that I wasn’t really a part of Jessie’s family, but then I realised something. I can be.
I got out of bed very unusually today. Unusual for me anyway. Usually I slump my body out, dragging my feet across the floor, especially when I go to bed late. But today was different. Today I got out of bed and walked across the floor normally. Well as normal as you can be when you’ve had four hours of sleep. I walked down the stairs singing to myself.
I joined Jessie in the kitchen.
Jessie-“Morning.” Jessie said as she looked up from her bowl of porridge and gave me a smile.
Jessie-“Did you sleep okay?” Jessie said as she continued to eat her porridge.
Kenzie-“Perfect.” I said as I walked over to the cupboard to grab a bowl.
Jessie-“Sit down.” Jessie said as she stood up and took a bowl out of the cupboard.
Jessie-“I’ll do that.” I followed Jessie’s commands and sat opposite where she had previously been sitting.
Kenzie-“So what do you have planned for today?” I asked staring at the back of Jessie’s head.
Jessie-“Not much, just a couple of interviews, we can do something later if you’d like?”
Kenzie-“Yeah, sure.” I said, smiling to myself. I really was lucky, getting to spend all this time with Jessie.
Jessie-“What do you want?” Jessie asked as she opened the cupboard full of cereals. There were loads to choose from. Coco pops, Weetabix, lucky charms, cheerios, and the list went on.
Kenzie-“Erm cheerios please.” I said. Jessie wasted no time in pouring the cheerios in my bowl and adding milk.
Jessie-“There you go.” Jessie said as she set the bowl down in front of me showing me a pearly white smile.
Kenzie-“Thanks.” I said as Jessie sat down and continued to eat her porridge.
Jessie-“No problem, so what d’ya want to do later?”
Kenzie-“Erm, maybe bowling? Or the cinema?”
Jessie-“Sounds fun. Do you want to invite any friends?” There was one person I’d love to invite. Alyssa. I knew how much she loved bowling, and she was loads better than me. Actually, come to think of it I’d also like to invite Cindy, Kellie, Olivia and of course Selena, I knew how much they would all get on with Jessie. But I hadn’t seen them since I’d left that school, and it was quite scary to think, I didn’t know when I would be going back, if ever.
Kenzie-“No.” I said to Jessie. I guess it would be easier to say this then to explain to Jessie that I’d love to invite all of them, but there was just no way it could be made possible.
