(A/N): My update schedule will be changing due to a busy one in real life. Since this is my best book, I'll try my best to update every day. I'm not really into my Travlyn fanfiction, so that one will be updated every other day. Same with my sequel to meh Mithross one. Just wanted you to know XP
Minor trigger warnings for this chapter ;^;

Travis's POV-
I glanced sideways to Zane as we pulled back into the driveway. He was humming to the song on the radio, and smiling. Smiling. Travis, you did it. You made the man who never smiles smile. I didn't even know he was capable of smiling. It's...beautiful. He opened his eyes, which had currently been closed, and glared at me when he saw me looking. The smile disappeared. "Stop looking at me." He growled. "I don't feel comfortable with people staring when I'm without my mask."
"You should smile more often. It's a good look for you." I commented, and he looked away. I swore I saw a faint blush. He is too cute...Travis no. Travis bad.
"Well...we're back." I stated, and Zane rolled his eyes. "Really? I thought we were at McDonalds." I chuckled. "Ya know, you can be funny if you try."
"I'm not trying to be funny." Zane growled. "Well, then it comes to you naturally. That's even better." I reply, and Zane mumbles back a 'whatever' and hops out of my truck.
I do the same and go around, meeting him on the other side. "So, um, did you have fun?" I asked, and Zane hesitantly nodded. "I guess..."
"TRAVIS!" Someone, probably Garroth screamed, and I jumped, losing my balance. I tumbled into Zane and we fell in that cliché position, with me on top of him. I blushed furiously, but Zane's eyes grew wild and his breathing grew heavy. "No no no no no..." He mumbled, barely audible, and he began shaking. "No...please...please!" He was screeching now, and I tumbled off him. "Zane! Are you OK?!" I asked, frantically trying to find something to help. Laurence and Dante ran out as well, and Garroth kneeled beside his brother. It was like Zane was in a different place... "No! I thought these had stopped...that position must have triggered it..." He listened to his heart. "His beat is way to high...DANTE! GO GET VLYAD!"
Dante, who was watching with horror, nodded and ran off to the girl's house. "Laurence! Help me get him on the couch!" Garroth, with the help of Laurence, carried the thrashing Zane inside. What was going on?!
I followed them, to find Garroth crying into his hands. "This is my fault...I scared Travis...I triggered it.."
Laurence rubbed Garroth's back reassuringly, trying to calm him down, even though he was as oblivious to the situation as me, whispering sweet nothings into his ear. They kinda looked like a couple, but now isn't the time for that. Vlyad ran in. "Flashback?" He asked, and Garroth nodded. Vlyad knelt beside Zane and pulled out his pocket knife. My eyes widened. "What are you-"
"Shush!" Garroth commanded as Vlyad rolled up Zane's sleeve. Very old cut scars littered his arm. "This always bring him back to us..." Vlyad whispered as he gently dragged the knife across his wrist. A bit of blood seeped out, and Sands breathing grew quieter. Vlyad wiped the knife with a cloth and pocketed it. "Zane...are you with me?" He asked quietly, and slowly, Zane nodded, tears in his eyes. Vlyad rubbed his own wrist, wincing. Garroth was very jumpy, wincing whenever Laurence touched a specific spot on his back. Something just happened...what's going on? "I...I don't want to go back there..." Zane whimpered, and Vlyad nodded. "None of us do. But it's over Zane...it's nothing but a memory now."
"A very painful one..." Zane muttered, tears spilling from his eyes.
"Alright, what just happened?" I asked, breaking my vow of silence that I had kept while the brothers...operated.
Vlyad sighed and looked to Garroth. Garroth looked to Zane. Zane nodded. Garroth gave Vlyad a look. Vlyad looked at Dante, then Laurence, then me. "I guess we have to tell you, don't we?" He whispered, and we all nodded. "You can't tell anyone. We've kept it in this long, we don't want to worry Aph and the others." Vlyad took a deep breath. "It's time we told you three of our childhood."
