Chapter Twelve: Vulcan Love

You had made your way to the guild, hoping Lily would be there. You wanted to tell Lucy about Sting and Rogue but decided against it. You entered the guild building, which was full with life.

“Ahh, (male name) there you are.” Natsu said, rubbing the back of his head nervously.

“Hey, you were looking for me?” You asked him.

“Um, yea. You see, something happened.” He nervously laughed.

You began to feel uneasy.

“What happened?” You said, hoping he would just tell you.

“Well, Happy took Lily out and, well, he lost her.” Natsu muttered under his breath, hoping you would miss hear it.

“He lost her! What did I say about if anything happened to her?” You snapped.

“But it wasn’t my fault.” He quickly said, declaring his innocence.

“If, when I find her, she is hurt, I swear you will regret ever meeting me. Understand?!” You shouted, pointing at him sharply with your index finger.

He slowly and sheepishly nodded.

“Let’s go look for her, get your little friend to help to, since he knew where she last was.” You said, heading for the door.

“Hey, (male name) what’s wrong?” Erza asked you, practically running from the other side of the guild building.

“Hey Erza, I’m just going out to look for Lily. Natsu and Happy lost her.” You explained.

She nodded once then said, “Me, Gray and Lucy will help you look.”

Your face lit up.

“Really? Thank you soo much.” You sang, hugging Erza’s armour which honestly hurt your face but you didn’t care.

You figured the more people looking, the more chance she will be found.

“Lucy, Gray, get over here!” Erza shouted.

A few seconds later, both Lucy and Gray had strolled over to you.

“What is it Erza?” Asked Gray.

“Natsu lost Lily.” She told them simply.

“That idiot.” Was all Gray said in reply.

“We better get going.” Lucy said, walking out the door, with you, Erza and Gray following behind.

Soon after Natsu and Happy as well.

“So happy, were where you when you lost her?” Erza asked.

“Well, I was flying with her over Mt. Hakobe then all of a sudden a Vulcan jumped up at us and I accidentally dropped her.” He explained.

Your heart sunk. If he dropped her, she could be seriously hurt, maybe even dead. You felt your eyes well up with tears but you tried your best not to cry. You then felt an abnormally warm arm wrap around you. You looked and saw Natsu, smiling reassuringly.

“It’s ok, will find her and she will be safe.” He told you.

“I hope so.” You muttered before Natsu ran up ahead.

The six of you had begun to head up Mt. Hakobe and it had begun to snow and get cold. You looked around and saw Gray practically nude, Natsu up ahead looking unfazed by the cold and behind you was Lucy and Erza crammed into a clock type thing. It was a tall brown grandfather clock with long, black arms, a glass case, a Roman-numeral clock at the centre and a small face at the top with slit eyes and a thin twirly mustache-like mouth. You stopped waiting for the walking, talking clock to catch up.
