Kyra grew to be a healthy playful little girl before her grandparents' eyes, and it struck them how much she resembled her mother while her eyes were the color of her father's.

In a way, she was both her mother and her father. She was diplomatic and serious, never disobedient, and she often fixed machinery around the house, and whenever someone had the nerve to bully her friends, she stood up for them with the righteous anger that her father and mother both had. She would forgive them and warned them not to do it again.

They were aghast when they found her one day levitating a pebble in their backyard. They realized their grandchild was Force-sensitive and they did as much to hide it from the Empire. If Kyra was caught, they knew the Emperor would stop at nothing to turn her to the Dark Side, or worse...kill her.

But the Force had other plans for the youngest child of Padmé and Anakin. And she would be a beacon of hope.

Her grandfather would see to it that Kyra would have a good education and great knowledge of the fallen Republic and the Jedi Order. She joined the Legislative Youth Program early and got to see the injustices seen in other lands and on Naboo since there were to be Imperial forces soon on the planet.

One day, she was at preschool, and a man all in black with a scary mask came and visited the school when her grandmother came and picked her up.

The mask and the mechanical breathing scared her and yet, she was fascinated by this dark stranger.

The masked man looked Kyra's way inquisitively. She seemed to be no threat as he studied her curiosity.

"Oh! Kyra, darling! Come with me, please!" Jobal quickly came and carried her away in trepidation and fear.

Kyra looked over her shoulder at the dark stranger and his eyes never left hers until she was out of sight.

"Nana, who was that?" Kyra asked.

"That's Darth Vader. Stars, the Emperor must have sent him to do terrible things here." Jobal answered. "Don't think about it, dear."

But Kyra could not stop thinking about it after she had done her preschool homework. She still was scared of the harsh breathing and the mask, but all that fear made her even more determined to make Naboo and the galaxy a better place.
