"Is it true? Did you try to murder him?" Rey demanded.

"Leave this island now!" Luke turned away in anger.

"Luke, get back here and tell us the truth!" Kyra commanded to her brother's retreating form.

"Kyra, you should already know the truth." Anakin appeared again.

"I want to hear from Luke himself. He knows what really happened. I don't." Kyra explained.

"Stop...! STOP!" Rey hit the bitter Master in the back of his head, and he whirled around.

"We're not leaving until you give us an answer, buster! She asked you a question!" Norah snapped.

"Did you do it? Did you create Kylo Ren?" Rey again demanded.

Luke fought with Rey's quarterstaff, but the fight between Master and trainee didn't last long, and Luke was on the ground trembling in fear, Rey with her lightsaber drawn, anger in her eyes.

"Tell us the truth!" Rey commanded. She deactivated her lightsaber.

"Tell us! NOW!" Kyra thundered to her brother.

"I saw darkness." Luke began. "I sensed it building in him. I had seen it in moments during his training. But then I looked inside...and it was beyond what I could have ever imagined. Snoke had already turned his heart. He would bring destruction and pain and death, and the end of everything I loved because of what he would become, and for the briefest moment of pure instinct, I thought I could stop it. It passed like a fleeting shadow, and I was left with shame...and with consequence...and the last thing I saw were the eyes of a frightened boy whose Master had failed him."

Kyra saw it all in detail. Luke with his saber raised ready to kill...Ben's frightened reaction, and the Temple collapsing. Kyra shook her head in sorrow, disappointment and anger. Norah couldn't speak. She was too shocked.

"And so, history did repeat itself!" Kyra scolded. "You had a part in this just as much as Snoke did! You failed Ben and created Kylo Ren, just as much as the Jedi High Council failed our father and with Sidious created Darth Vader!"

"She's right! You failed him thinking that his choice was made. It wasn't. There's still conflict in him! If he returns from the Dark Side, that can shift the tide! This could be how we win!" Rey added.

"This is not going to go the way you think!" Luke snapped.

"It is! Just now, when we touched hands, I saw his future! I saw it as I'm seeing you. If I go to him, Ben Solo will turn!" Rey argued.

"Don't do this." Luke begged.

"We saved our father, Luke! Rescuing Ben from the Dark will be no different!" Kyra shot back.

Rey stood up and for the final time, offered the bitter Jedi Master his lightsaber. Luke stayed where he was, despondent. Kyra shook her head again, this time in disappointment and sadness.

"You're wasting your breaths, Mom. He's not going to help us." Norah found her voice and it was bitter and angry.

"We came to this island, hoping you could help us turn the tide. We were wrong." Kyra said and walked away.
