Death Star Plans

Once Amidala II's second term ended, she had her predecessor, Lyra, named Annika as Queen, install her as Senator Amidala-Naberrie of Naboo.

Now as a Senator, she boldly spoke out against the Empire, and made it clear that the Naboo was against Palpatine and the Empire as a whole.

In the Imperial Senate, she had many allies and enemies. It was there, she met and quickly befriended Alderaan's Princess Leia Organa.

She helped Leia get the plans for a certain space station called the Death Star. She commed her grandparents often to make sure they were all right, and even as Queen.

She was dreaming again. She was in what looked like Coruscant in a suite unfamiliar to her. She saw a couple talking. From the looks of it, the young woman, who she knew was her mother, was pregnant.

The young man was powerfully built, with tan skin, tousled dirty brown hair, and his eyes were...she was never sure about his eyes. He was dressed in all black Jedi robes, and he had a glove on his right hand. She wondered why he always wore it.

"I feel lost." The young man said.

"Lost? What do you mean?" Kyra's mother asked in confusion.

"Obi-Wan and the Council don't trust me." The young man brooded.

Obi-Wan?! He can't mean old Ben Kenobi, can he? What Council? Who are you? Kyra wondered.

"They trust you with their lives." Padmé reassured.

"Something's happening. I'm not the Jedi I should be. I want more, and I know I shouldn't."

Kyra was left to wonder until...

Blaster fire was heard as she woke up on the Tantive IV, and one of the crew members came in, and she knew and quickly straightened herself up.

"Senator! The Princess is in danger!" He shouted.

"On my way," Kyra said, breaking into a run after making sure her dark curly hair was neat and tidy.

She ran in the hallways to search for Leia, only to be shot by a stormtrooper who set his blaster for stun.

"Before Lord Vader, we have two prisoners." She heard them say. She knew she would face the menacing masked machine man again.

As they marched the two politicians to their captor, Kyra and Leia both remained stoic and emotionless. The familiar harsh mechanical breathing reached their ears. There he was.

"Well, well, well," Kyra said with sass. "Princess Leia, look what the Imperial cat dropped out of the bag."

"Darth Vader, only you could be so bold!" Leia sneered. "The Imperial Senate will not sit still for this! When they hear you've attacked a diplomatic-"

"Don't act so surprised, your highness. You both aren't on any mercy missions this time. Several transmissions were beamed to this ship by Rebel spies! I want to know what happened to the plans they sent you!" Vader snarled.

"Over our dead bodies, bucket head!" Kyra snapped back. "You clearly don't know us like you think you do! We're Imperial Senators on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan!"

"You are part of the Rebel Alliance and are traitors!" Vader roared. "Take her away!" He turned to Kyra. "You come with me!"

Kyra held her head up in defiance and she followed the Dark Lord. She sent a silent prayer for Leia to be safe. She kept her eyes on him and glowered at him as he briefed the captain and the commander on the situation.

Vader felt her stare and felt her anger radiating. There was something oddly familiar about the 19 year old Senator.

She couldn't have been that little girl I saw with her grandmother on Naboo all those years ago, could she? He wondered. He growled in frustration. Her mental shields were up. Well, he was bound to get an answer from her eventually.

They entered a room where a very thin and bony man named Tarkin was waiting. Along with him was a slender younger man, perhaps a year older than her with fair skin, brown eyes and his curly hair was tied up in a low ponytail. Kyra paid him no mind and focused on insulting Tarkin.

"Senator Amidala-Naberrie, so honored to have you." Tarkin sneered. "You look nothing like I had expected."

Kyra glared at him. Even though she was only 5 feet tall and slim, she still had a commanding presence of a Queen. He thought her to be a child, perhaps?

"I could say the same about you, Governor Tarkin," she smirked, dripping with sarcasm.

The younger man failed miserably at containing his sniggering, which caught Kyra's attention.

Governor Tarkin glowered at the younger man who suddenly pretended to glare at Kyra. Clearly, the younger man had no experience in Imperial dealings.

She studied him and was confused and frustrated when she found that his shields were up. She gave up and turned her attention back to Tarkin. This was going to be interesting.
