There was news of another Death Star, and it didn't bode well with Kyra, especially since she now knew the truth about Vader. Nonetheless, she was determined to set her father free from his inner darkness.
Speaking of Vader, the words she spoke to him nine months ago struck a chord with him.
This is Darth Vader now. Did she actually believe that he could be saved? He was Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith, Second in Command to the Emperor. He had killed thousands of people, aliens and Jedi alike. Hardly someone that needed to be saved. But...
"I won't join you...but I can promise that there is still hope for you!"
How much had Kyra really known then? How much about him now does she know? He hadn't been kind, he knew. He had lost everything until he found out about her and Luke. Those striking blue eyes that he had bore into his ocular masked eyes and her curly hair, much like Padmé's, and the shade of jet black that his mother had were enough to bring Anakin Skywalker back, but as quickly as that thought came, it was squashed. She would have no choice but to join him or die, like Luke.
He suddenly wondered what Kyra's childhood was like besides seeing him in that preschool, and wondered how the Naberrie family had raised her, but he knew she was raised the same way that Padmé was. He felt torn now between Dark and Light. He still burned in his own personal flame. This is Darth Vader now.
Kyra found herself on the forest moon of Endor with Leia, being led by a teddy bear-like creature, an Ewok named Wicket, deep into the forests of Endor after being rescued from imperial scouts.
Earlier, Kyra had been with Luke, Han, Noah, Kris, Chewie, Lizzie and Winter and had fooled the Empire on the Shuttle Tyderium saying they were sending supplies.
Luke and Kyra were both on edge, as they had sensed their father on the star destroyer watching their fleet's every move. They had landed and had chased imperial scouts on swoop bikes before she and Leia went further out and had gotten lost. The two women had woken up to someone poking them, and Kyra had gotten out her lightsaber to defend herself. She checked on her baby and sighed in relief when it kicked. Hardly a scratch.
Wicket had looked at Kyra quizzically.
"I'm having a baby soon." Kyra had answered gently.
"Yub, yub!" Wicket said excitedly and Kyra sensed that he was happy for her.
Kyra and Leia had both gasped in awe when they came into the village filled with Ewoks, and they had made dresses for both of them to wear.
With her shoulder length curly hair, she made a fake Nubian French braid that was tucked in the back. Wicket and the others made a flower crown for the Senator and she kindly accepted it.
Her eyes widened in shock when she and Leia both saw Luke, Lizzie, Noah, Kris, Han and Chewie bound by their wrists and ankles to a stick of wood. Threepio was sitting on a chair and was apparently being worshipped by the Ewoks. Winter was nowhere to be found, which worried her.
"They're our friends! Please release them!" Kyra pleaded.
"Threepio, tell them they need to be set free." Leia said.
With a little help from Luke and Noah who had both used the Force on the chair Threepio was on, the Ewoks then set them free. As soon as they were, Kyra embraced Noah and kissed him.
"Where's your father?" Kyra asked.
"I'm afraid he died. When the scouts were going after me, I thought I was a goner for sure. But my father stepped in front of me and he was shot. He told me that he was proud of me and of Kris, and he was glad to have met you. He died a hero, Kyra." Noah said sadly. His voice broke on the last sentence.
