"Did you find him?" the all too familiar voice of her love, Noah Banai asked via comlink.
"Oh, we found him, all right, and...he's changed. He's bitter, and he's cut himself off from the Force completely. Hell, he didn't even know that Han was killed!" Kyra answered.
"Oh boy...it didn't make sense for him to just leave without telling us where he was going. It certainly still doesn't make sense now that he doesn't want to come back." Noah said, raking his salt and pepper wavy hair away from his fair face as he oversaw all the pilots destroying a First Order Cruiser called the Dreadnaught, and it was not going well.
Anakin Banai, Kyra and Noah's oldest son, was among the pilots trying to destroy the ship, and upon Leia's orders, he turned back, while trying to convince Poe Dameron to follow orders. Physically, he was the spitting image of Kyra's father, but with his mother's heart.
"Yeah, we'll keep goading him to come back, no matter how long it takes. Anyway, how are things on your end?" Kyra asked.
"Not good. The First Order figured out our base, found out we were evacuating and we're losing pilots fast." Noah said. "Leia has given the order to turn back but Poe isn't listening. He thinks we can destroy the Dreadnaught."
Kyra's stomach clenched in fear for her husband, her oldest son and younger daughters, and her grandchild.
"Is he crazy?! At what cost?! I can just tell that Leia will slap him and demote him as soon as he gets back!" Kyra nearly busted Noah's ear drums.
"Is that Kyra, Noah?" Leia asked.
"I know, honey. I know, we'll talk to him." Noah reassured his anxious wife and nodded and affirmative to Leia just as Anakin came in, frustrated. He slammed down his helmet from his tousled brown hair, his blue eyes burning in fury.
"What the hell does he think he's doing? We've lost too many of our pilots! I've already told him that going up against the First Order is not just destroying things!" Anakin snarled at both his father and his aunt, his patience with Poe running ragged. "And we just lost Jessica!"
Kyra closed her eyes in sadness.
"Kyr, I'm gonna have to go. I'll check back when things calm down." Noah said.
"Okay...just be careful." Kyra acknowledged the situation and ended communications.
Kyra went to find Rey and Norah inside a gigantic tree and this place hummed with the Force. She saw a stack of old books and realized that the books were from long ago, and were sacred.
"Who are you?"
Kyra turned to see that Luke had followed her.
"Where do you come from?" Luke asked.
"Nowhere," Rey answered.
"No one comes from nowhere." Luke said.
"Jakku," Rey said.
"Okay, that's pretty much nowhere." Luke mused. He ignored the irritated stare Kyra gave him. "Why are you here?"
"Something...inside me has always been there. Now it's awake, and I need help." Rey explained.
"Perhaps we can both train her, Luke? She already is strong enough with the Force." Kyra offered.
"I will train no more Jedi. I came to this island to die. It's time for the Jedi to end." Luke left.
Norah was irritated but Kyra told her to let him go, and headed towards the Falcon to sleep.
Artoo was there on the Falcon and had reminded him with angry beeps and bwoops. Kyra woke from her sleep.
"Hey, sacred planet. Watch the language!" Luke scolded.
"I can't say I blame him for cursing. You did leave him and shut him down." Kyra said blinking the sleep from her blue eyes.
Artoo reminded him of all those years ago when he first helped Leia and Kyra.
"That was a cheap move." Luke muttered.
"Well, are you gonna train her or should I? No excuses this time." Kyra said.
"Alright, I give. No more than three lessons." Luke huffed.
"You won't regret this!" Kyra lit up and went to tell Rey.
The next morning, Kyra was startled awake by a blaster shot, and she rushed to Rey's hut.
"You're gonna pay for what you did!" Rey was heard to say, and it confused Kyra. She probed Rey's mind, and gasped in shock when she felt his presence.
"I can't see yours. It's just you. Oh...this is something else."
Kylo Ren! She was speaking to Kylo Ren?! Kyra wanted to say something to Rey but then-
"What's that about?" Luke came out of his hut and demanded.
"I was cleaning my blaster and it misfired." Rey said.
Kyra's hand flew to her face in frustration, but it left the same way as soon as it came.
Rey was instructed to sit on a rock and reach out with the Force. Kyra did likewise.
Suddenly Kyra sensed another part of the island humming with the Force, and it was dark. So did Rey, but she kept going. The rocks around them were split by the sheer power emanating from this girl.
"Holy Force!" Kyra cried out in shock and interest.
"Resist it, Rey! Rey!" Luke said fearfully.
The girl was still focused.
"REY!!!!" Luke roared.
She still kept going to the shock and amazement of Kyra, and the deep hidden fears of Luke.
