"What are you doing Threepio?" Poe asked.
Leela paced nervously as she stood with her aunt, father and mother along with Rey, Poe and Finn and rest of Resistance members looking at Threepio, who had been connected and hooked up with multiple wires.
"Taking one last look, sir; at my friends." Threepio said.
"Do we really have to do this to him, Daddy?" Leela asked.
"We have no choice. We need all hands on deck, honey. The First Order's not going to stop until they've ruled the galaxy, just the Empire once did." Anakin said. "And you need to stay out of the fight. You're too young to--"
"Great Grandpa was too young too, but he survived his first battle." Leela explained.
"How did you learn all that?" Madison gaped.
"Grammy told me stories. So did Gramps. Told me all about Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader and how Uncle Luke saved him." Leela said matter-of-factly.
"Still, your mother and I have to make sure you're safe." Anakin explained. "This battle could be dangerous and you could be killed."
"Fine." Leela sighed. She had just turned 11 and she was still considered a child in the eyes of the Resistance. She could not wait to grow up and kick butt.
Anakin ruffled his daughter's hair in reassurance, just as the wires were activated and Threepio's familiar golden eyes became red.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hello! I'm back!!! I'm so sorry for the lack of updates! This is what I think could be happening to Threepio! I think Threepio is wired up to control the old battle droids from the Prequels! As promised, this will be told from Leela's POV since Kyra and Noah's stories have been completed in "The Last Jedi"!
