Chapter Twenty-Three

Aubriee

I watched as my old group of friends exited the lunch room laughing as Mason tripped over Elijah's shoe. I sighed and picked at my plate and look at my empty table. I'm so tired of sitting by myself. I guess I was wrong to doubt Gabbie but I was worried about her. I didn't want her to wind up hurt. She's like my sister, ya know? I looked up and eyed Vin as he exited the room as well. I gave him a dirty look, as if he'd see it. I sighed again. Enough is enough.

this should be good. Where was my best friend when I was in the hospital?

She was in the hospital?

well you were so far up Noah's ass I thought otherwsise. And i'm a smut now am I? I don't see you having these fucking balls when you see me though. Watch it Aubriee, I fucking mean it. 

I didn't bother answering. She won't touch me anyway. So arguing with her was pointless.

Gabbie

"your girlfriend is pushing my last nerve, Noah."

I snapped as he sat next to me. 

"Not my girlfriend. Hasn't been for a few weeks, ahhah"

"What? Why?"

Teagan asked.

"She called Gabbie a smut."

"She have a death wish?"

Teagan asked and looked towards me.

"Apparently so. Clearly doesn't know who the fuck I am."

Maia climbed out of the pool and Mason bit his lip. I rolled my eyes and she looked back at Mason. She instantly became uncomfortable and wrapped the towel around her as quick as she could. I gave Mason a dirty look and he smirked. 

"the heart wants what it wants, Gabbie."

He said clutching his chest.

"My heart wants to punch you in the face. Am I gonna give into her?"

I said standing up and taking my sandals off. 

"Damn right I am."

I jumped into the pool and swam over to him and got on his shoulders and punched him lightly.

"FUCK! Gabbie your punches fucking hurt!!"

He yelled. He tried pushing me off of him but he failed.

"I'm not even hitting you that hard!!"

"You're heavy handed as fuck!"

I laughed and pinched him. He got me lose and I fell back into the water. 

"Ass!"

I yelled as soon as soon as I came up from the water. He laughed and my mom came outside with some more snacks. 

"Gabriella, watch your mouth."

"oooohh, full name!"

My dad taunted as he came outside as well. I laughed and he kissed her on the cheek. 

"Ewwww"

Us kids all said at the same time. 

"Oh shut the fuck up."

My dad laughed. My mom hit him on the stomach and he cursed under his breath.

"Watch your mouth."

"Ooohh!"

We laughed. 

"Whipped Uncle Luke?"

Mason asked. 

"Not a day in my life." 

My dad winked and laughed. My mom looked back and made a face. My dad blew her a kiss and walked over to the grill and turned it on. 

"I want a love like your parents."

Maia said softly and she smiled. Me too. 

Danni

I've spent my whole goddamn day in bed. What the hell. Eli texted me and yelled at me for what I said to G, so he's mad at me. I grabbed my laptop and scrolled around on babies R us. I found the perfect crib and sent it to Eli. I called my mom up and she ordered it for me. I smiled and thanked her. 

"Should be here in three weeks."

She said and kissed my forehead. She left and my dad popped in. I smiled and he laughed. 

"Mommy ordered the crib." 

I said as he sat on the bed. I showed him and he giggled. 

"That's good. I'm heading over to Luke and Shannon's. Do you wanna come? They're making burgers and stuff."

He asked. 

"Yeah. Let me get dressed."

He kissed my head and left my room. I changed into a bikini and put on shorts and a tanktop. I slid on some shoes and walked downstairs. My dad waved me over to the front door and we left.

When we pulled up to the house I saw Aubriee walking by. She smiled softly at me and I smiled back. She continued walking and didn't say a word. I walked in the backyard and Gabbie rolled her eyes. I did the same and sat at the table. My dad went inside and helped himself to a beer. 

"Sup bro."

He said as he fist bumped Luke. I laughed. Such dorks. Noah smiled to me as he dipped a chip in the bowl of salsa that was sitting in front of me. I smiled back and turned my attention to Shannon, who was watching Luke. Noah got up and hopped in the pool. Serrah and Beau found their way onto the back deck. Serrah plopped down on a chair and sighed. 

"Hey biotch."

She said as she ran her fingers through Shannon's hair. Shannon laughed.

"hey smut."

Serrah laughed and Beau sat on Shannon's lap.

"Hey slut."

"hello Beau" 

She laughed. The music changed on the radio and Beau started twerking on Shannon. Typical ahah. 

"Don't scar her! Get your big ass up!"

Luke turned around. 

"Don't talk about my ass!"

He laughed. I laughed and shook my head. 

"Where's Jai ?"

Shannon asked. 

"Out getting us alcohol thank fuck."

Serrah laughed. 

"Text him and tell him to grab me Raspberrrittas."

"Did it babe."

Luke chipped in. She smiled. I looked over to Eli and tuned out the adult conversation.
