Not Our Parents

Chapter Fourteen

                         *Mia's POV*

I got out of the pool and wrapped myself in a towel. 

"Oh come on Mia! It was funny!" 

"No it wasn't Mason, you can go home now."

I said storming in the house and up to my room. I got undressed and got into the shower to wash out the soda that had been dumped on my head. I scrubbed my hair twice and made sure it didn't smell like Mountain Dew anymore.  

About twenty minutes later I got out and got dressed in a blue crop top and black high waisted shorts. I brushed the knots out of my hair and scrunched it. I can not believe Mason dumped his soda on me! On purpose! I feel like knocking his teeth down his fucking throat! i put on a pair of sandals and grabbed my wallet. I texted Gab and told her to meet me at wawa and she replied with an okay. I left my house and walked to the store. 

"Hey!" 

I heard someone call out from behind me. I turned around and seen a boy around 19 smiling at me. 

"Hey?"

I laughed and turned back around. 

"I'm new to the neighborhood, I'm 19, I just moved out of my parents house, I live in the house across from yours"

I stopped in my tracks and smirked. I turned around and smiled. I shook his hand. 

"Mia"

"Jack"

I smiled. 

"Nice to meet you."

"Likewise"

I smirked. 

"Where ya headed?"

"Oh, wawa on Colonial Drive."

"Mind if I walk with ya?"

"okay."

We got to the corner of Wawa and I spotted Gabbie's hair. I smiled and said bye to Jack. I walked over to Gabbie and she jumped back a little bit.

"Scare ya?"

"Just a little you bitch."

I laughed loudly and we walked over to the drinks and grabbed sodas. I ordered a sandwich and she ordered buffalo chicken mac n cheese. We paid for our stuff and walked to her house. We walked in through the back of her house and we found her mom and dad in the kitchen making cookies. 

"Hey Mrs. Brooks."

"Hey Mia, i told you, just call me Shannon."

I laughed and she kissed my cheek. I fist bumped Luke and Gabbie and I went upstairs to her room. I sat on G's bed and opened my sandwich. I took a bite and groaned. I love food. Gabbie laughed and shook her head as she took a bite of her mac n cheese and she groaned as well. 

"I love wawa."

I laughed loudly and opened my soda. I took a big swig and G's door opened. Noah's face came into view and he frowned when he seen my face. 

"Nice to see you too."

"He thought you were Aubriee."

I laughed. 

"Still on that, huh?"

He flipped me off and left the room. 

"Has he texted you?"

"Noah? No, why would- oh. You mean Vinny. Nope."

She said and looked down. 

"it's been a month. I literally gave the kid my all."
