Prompt: Your sister got the wrong house number and barged into my apartment

-

I laid on my back on my couch as I threw a softball in the air. "I don't know." I sighed and caught the ball.

"C'mon (y/n), you need to get out there and meet someone, it's not like your future husband is going to just barge into your apartment and say take me now." Iris' chuckle filled my living room, from the speaker on my phone. I chuckled and threw the ball in the air again.

"That would be so convenient though." I laughed and caught the ball.

"Let's go out tonight, we can head to karaoke!" Iris suggested excitedly. I heard my door knob and I moved my phone off my chest and sat up while setting the ball down. I took Iris off speaker and held the phone to my ear.

"I think someone's breaking into my apartment." I whispered into my phone

"Oh my god. I'll call my dad." Iris said quickly.

"No don't. Not yet." I stated. I quickly walked to my hall closet and grabbed my umbrella.

"Someone is breaking into your house I'm calling my dad." Iris stated before hanging up.

"Lenny. I thought you said you'd leave the door open?" A female voice called into my apartment. "Lenny?" The voice got closer and I walked out around the corner towards my front door and the girl jumped. "You're not Lenny!" She exclaimed

"No I'm not who the hell are you and why are you breaking into my apartment?" I asked

"I thought this was my brother's apartment." She held her hands out in front of her.

"You got the wrong one." I set the umbrella down and leaned it against the wall.

"Was that your weapon of choice?" She asked and raised a brow

"It's all I have." I muttered

"Do you not have knives in your kitchen?" She asked and walked further into my apartment and passed me to my kitchen.

"Well yeah. I just don't like violence." I shrugged and she pulled out her phone. I looked at her confused as she started looking through my drawers. "I think it's time you should leave." I stated. She held up a finger and pulled a knife out of my drawer and placed it on my counter.

"Leonard, you sent me the wrong apartment number I think. I'm at apartment 208." She spoke into her phone. "You did not say 308." She groaned "Okay see you soon." She smiled and hung up her phone. She looked over at me and picked up the knife.

"Listen I don't want any trouble." I held my hands up and began to back away.

"Please if I wanted to hurt you I would've done it by ." She pulled a gun out of the back of her pants.

"You break into my house, take one of my knives then pull out a gun?" I looked at her confused

"This is a weapon you should pull out at an intruder, not an umbrella." She passed me the knife.

"Who are you?" I asked as I tilted my head confused

"Lisa Snart." I heard a voice behind me and I jumped, the knife falling out of my hand and fell to the floor. I let out a squeak of pain as the knife hit the edge of my foot as it landed.

"Oh my god." Lisa Snart covered her hands over her mouth as she looked at my foot.

"Scale of one to ten how bad is it?" I asked staring straight ahead. The person who stood behind me moved to stand beside me. I didn't look over at them as they knelt down next to me.

"Where do you keep your dish rags?" The unknown guy asked.

"In the uh." I took a deep breath "In the drawer left of the sink." I pointed towards it.

"Lisa can you grab me a rag and run it under warm water." He instructed

"How bad is it Lenny?" Lisa asked

"Not too bad. Just messy." Lenny said. "I need you to take the pressure off your foot, can you lift it up a little bit?" He asked and I lifted my foot.

"Does it hurt?" Lisa asked as she passed Lenny a damp rag.

"Mhmm." I bit my lip "Like a bitch." I stated and Lenny laughed

"What's your name?" The guy asked.

"(Y/n)." I said "What about you?" I asked and glanced down. As he wrapped my foot up in the rag.

"Leonard Snart." He stated

"Have we met before? Your name sounds familiar." I asked and he lead me back to my couch

"I'm also known as Captain Cold." He said quietly.

"You're a wanted criminal." I looked at him worried

"Yeah. That I am." He sighed

"You have to leave." I said frantically

"Your foot, you're going to have to get it looked at and I can help with that." He stated confused

"You can't there's a police officer on his way here now." I said, and as if on cue I heard a knock on my door. "Shit." I muttered. "The fire escape is out the window in my bedroom." I stated

"(Y/n) you in there?" I heard Joe knock on the door again

"Yeah I am just give me one second." I limped around my couch and towards the door. "Hurry I'll stall him at the door as long as I can." I told the two. Lisa jogged down the hall, looking in through the doors of the rooms until she came across my door.

"Thank you." Leonard nodded his head at me

"Run." I whispered as I opened my door. "Joe hey." I forced a smiled as I leaned against the door taking weight off of my injured foot.

"Iris said someone was trying to break in I came to check on you." He noticed my stance and looked down. "What happened?" He asked as he led me back into my house. He sat me down on one of my dining chairs and knelt down to look at my foot.

"I thought someone was trying to break in so I ran to grab a knife but then it slipped out of my hand." I sighed "No one was even trying to break in, it was just the toddler from down the hall playing with my door knob" I said with a sad chuckle.

"I should take you to the hospital." Joe sighed "It looks like you might need stitches." He stated

"Alright." I muttered. Joe helped me stand back up, we walked to my door and I slipped on some loose fitting shoes and we left my apartment.

Once we got down to his cruiser I sat down in the passenger seat and took my foot out of my shoe and readjusted the rag.

"So, you guys down at the CCPD on the hunt for any dangerous criminals lately?" I asked trying to make conversation, while trying to make sure a dangerous criminal doesn't know where I live.

"Well we're trying to find Leonard Snart, he robbed a bank, and froze a bunch of people while he did it." Joe stated and I mentally cursed

"Oh yeah? Pretty bad guy huh." I looked straight up the road as he drove

"Well he killed people (Y/n), so yes he is considered a pretty bad guy." Joe chuckled

"Wow I sure hope I don't meet that guy." I stated

"I'm sure you're fine. He only robs banks, not apartment buildings." He chuckled
