The day passed quickly. Soon the evening meal was prepared. Elrohir carried a tired elfling to the table. "Come on Little Leaf. You have to eat." Elrohir pleaded. "Legolas, please eat what is on your plate?" Erestor pleaded. Legolas sighed and started to eat. Thranduil and the other wood elves were ignoring Legolas. When the meal was done, Thranduil stood and motioned for Legolas to follow him. Elrond told Legolas to go. "Elladan will be right outside the door. If Thranduil hurts you, just yell of Dan, okay?" Elrohir comforted the elfling. Legolas sighed but followed Thranduil to his chambers. The door closed and Thranduil turned to look at the pitiful excuse of space that was his son. "What did you do, you lazy, worthless, pitiful waste of space?" Thranduil snarled. He started to attack the elfling. Legolas took the blows and scratches without making a sound. Elladan had grown concerned by the silence. He knocked on the door after thirty minutes of worrying. Thranduil opened the door. "What do you want?" Thranduil asked coldly. "Where is Legolas?" Elladan asked. Thranduil swept out of the room, glaring at the son of Elrond. Elladan ran into the room, seeing Legolas covered in blood and bruises. He gathered the little one into his arms and ran into the hall of fire to get help. "ADA! HE IS HURT!" Elladan sobbed. Elrond took Legolas into his own arms and ran to the hall of healing. Legolas had started fading after the last bandage was wrapped. "Aada, he's giving up!" Sobbed Elladan. "Please come back!" Elrond begged softly. "Please give me a chance to give to you what Thranduil denied you. Please give me a chance to win your love, my little leaf." Elrond was cradling the elfling, rocking gently. Erestor and Glorfindel watched their lord beg for the elfling to give them a chance.
