Chapter 3

Raidens POV

"Genesis?" i question my self out loud. "Why would he call me...32 times!?" i stare at my phone is astonishment.

I click on the Genesis number. The phone rings once...twice...and it went to voicemail. I decide to leave a voicemail. "Uh hey Genesis i saw you called...32 times... And i wanted to see what you wanted. Call me back. Bye." i hang up and turn on my t.v. "1st Class Soldier Genesis Raphsodos has been M.I.A. for about a week. He first went missing on a mission in Wutai and we have not heard from him since." i stare at my t.v. with wide eyes. *missing?! But he called me...yesterday...!!!* i think to myself.

"1st Class Raiden Zoldyck please report to Lazarus office immediately." the voice over the intercom says.

I hurriedly throw my shoes on and run out the door and to Lazarus office. I slam open the door, panting.

"Y-yes?" i stutter trying to catch my breath.

"Im sending you, Zack, and Angeal to Wutai. Zack and Angeals mission is to stop the Wutian soldiers. Your mission is to find the missing Soldier 1st class Genesis Raphsodos. Are we clear?" Lazarus says in a serious tone.

I nod. "Of course"

"The chopper is outside waiting. Get going." he says then sighs and turns away.

Zack shoots me a worried look. I smile back at him and walk over. "Well...we better get going." i say then walk towards the exit.

Angeal sighs as Zack's happy and energetic mood comes back.

We all board the chopper then take off to Wutai.

When the chopper lands i'm the first to get off, followed by Zack and then Angeal.

"How are you supposed to find Genesis?" Angeal asks looking at me.

"I come from a family of assassins...my job is to find people" i reply giggling.

Angeal rolls his eyes while Zack laughs.

"Be careful" Angeal says before walking off with Zack.

"Same to you guys!" i call after them.

"Hmm...where should i start looking..." i mumble while walking off in a random direction.

I take my phone out. *maybe he'll pick up his stupud phone now* i think while calling Genesis.

It rings once...twice...and......"Ah..Raiden... Hello" i gasp quietly almost dropping my phone. "G-genesis?" i question, the uncertainty clear in my voice.

"The one and only" Gen says

"Where are you?! You've apparently been missing for almost a week!! And you called me 32 times!!" I chew my lip and pace back and forth.

Genesis chuckles. "Im right behind you" he says then the line went dead.

I spin around quickly and gasp as i see Genesis standing right there.

"Ok what happened?! Why did you go missing?!" i question and cross my arms.

"The goddess-" he starts but i dont allow him to finish.

"No. No loveless. I swear i will die if i hear more of it." i whine with my arms still crossed.

Genesis smirks a bit and takes the book out. "Keep this safe for me will you?" he asks then hands me the book. "Wait..why do you just-" hes gone. "O-oi!!? Genesis?" i huff. *great. Just great. What the heck am i going to do now?*

I take my phone out and call Zack.

"Helloooooo?" I hear Zacks bubbly voice on the other end.

"Hey Zack." i say

"Ohhhhh Raiden!! Hi!! Hows IT going? Did you find Genesis yet?" he starts bombarding me with questions.

"Hi. Its good. And yes. Well...sorta.." i reply

"Wait you found Genesis?" he asks

"Sorta....he kinda just appeared, gave me loveless and told me to keep it safe..then....poofed...?" i say well more like questioned.

"What the heck is up with that guy.." i hear Zack murmur.

"Hey is Angeal with you?" i ask

"Uh yeam i'll hand him the phone." Zack says. I hear some shuffling.

"Hello?" Angeals voice sounded more quiet then Zacks.

"Uh yea hey Angeal. I found Genesis...well... More like he found me. He gave me loveless told me to keep it safe then vanished. What am i supposed to do now?" i question while making my way towards some weird building.

"Um...im not too sure...Zack is heading toward the chopper so just wait for him there." Angeal says.

"What about you?"

"Thats not important. See ya later Rai" The phone goes dead and i sigh. *looks like i have to wait for Zack now...*

~time skipppp~

I stare into the trees until i see a figure running towards me. I put my hand over my scythe and is just about to grab it when i notice its Zack. I relax.

"Oi Zack. Took you long enough." i shout while he stands in front of me panting.

"A-Angeal....Genesis.....gone..." Zack pants out.

"What?" i ask.

"Genesis is evil!!! And Angeal is...is...is....i dont know!!!" he panics while pacing back and forth.

"Woah woah woah woah woah. Calm down. Lets just report to Lazarus with what we have alright? Angeal is a good person. Even if Genesis is evil...Angeal isnt. He'll be fine." i assure him as i lightly push him into the chopper. "Now come on you look like you could use a nap." i giggle.

Zack also giggles and sits in an empty seat. I sit next to him and we talk the whole way back to the ShinRa mansion.

~time skip~

As soon as the chopper lands we both dash out of the it. "Race you to Lazarus office!!" Zack yells while sprinting into the building.

I smirk evilly and climb up the wall and through the window and into Lazarus office.

A few minutes later Zack bursts into the room panting heavily and almost falling over. I cover my mouth and laugh hysterically.

"OH MY GOD ZACK AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA YOU AHAHAHAH" i fall over laughing not able to finish my sentence.

"H-hey!! H-how did....you...g-get here?!" Zack yells, obviously mad that he didnt win.

"I climbed the wall!! Ahhahahaah!!!" i laugh more until i notice a certain silverette in the room. I immediatly shut up and stand up straight.

"U-uh S-sephiroth h-hi.." i say awkwardly.

He nods his head at me while smiling a little.

I laugh nervously and move over to where Lazarus is. I report everything to him and he stares at me with surprise.

"He just gave you loveless then left?" he asks

"Uhhh huh." i say taking out the white book.

Sephiroth walks over and takes it from me. "I'll take that." he says then walks out of the room.

"Your dismissed." Lazarus says

I purposely run into Zack, knocking him over.

"Hey!!" he whines and picks himself off the floor.

I snicker then run back to my room.
