Lucas point of view

"Lucas!"Riley said,very hyper,when I went to her locked,Farkle looked at me weirdly.
"Riley..."I said awkwardly and smiled."Why are you so happy today?".
"Oh..No reason"Riley said and closed her locked.She kept twirling her hair for some reason.
"You guys do know I have detention today...and tomorrow..and the day after that-"
"Ha!"Farkle smirked."You deserve it"
"Why?"I chuckled and rolled my eyes."I was protecting you guys"
"And You were so brave"Riley said dreamily..I sighed and walked back to my locker.

As always.Maya was late.And soon,the end of the day was near,I didn't see Maya anywhere.And I didn't know why I cared.

I honestly hated detention.It was so boring.
And Riley kept texting me while I was in detention like,can't she get a life?.

I mean seriously...
Okay maybe that was too harsh.Oops.

Someone opened the door and stepped in.Mr.Matthews sighed
"Ms.Hart"He said and fake smiled."You're late"
Maya nodded and sat in front of me."Aren't I always?"She asked and smirked.
"True"Mr.Matthews said and sat behind his desk.He kept looking at us every minute.
I tapped Maya's bare shoulder infront of me.She turned to look at me.

"..Hi"I said and smiled at her.Maya chuckled
"Howdy Huckleberry"Maya said but then Mr.Matthews was standing infront  of her desk.
"Mr.Friar and Ms.Hart.."He said in a disappointed tone,"No flirting in detention"
Maya smiled."You can't control me,Matthews..I can do whatever I want-"
"Yeah..I need to talk to you after detention,Ms.Hart"Mr.Matthews said then looked at me with a glare."Don't flirt with my daughter,Friar".

"For the last time,Matthews-"Maya said,bored,"I'm not your daughter"
Mr.Matthews didn't answer her after that.Maya turned back to me and smirked.
"Hey.You going to the party?"Maya asked and I smiled.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world"I said."As long as your there-"

"Of course"Maya smiled."That's what makes me-"
"Ms.Hart!"Mr.Matthews called out."Be quiet"
Maya rolled her eyes and we sat in silence.Comfortable between us.

After an hour or two,we were allowed to leave,I texted Riley back and told her I was in detention.She felt sorry.Like really sorry.
I was about to leave when I noticed Maya wasn't by my side.
Wait..why would she be?
That's just weird of me to think the Maya hart,or whatever they call her,would walk me home.Why am I thinking about her anyway?
Where is she?
I go back to the detention room and noticed Mr.'Matthews giving Maya a lecture,I decided to wait.

Mayas point of view

"Ms.Hart"Mr.Matthews said as we both walked out of the class."A talk..please"
I groaned."this is just gonna turn into another one of your boring lectures,sorry Matthews but I don't have the time"I said and was about to walk away.

"Maya..What's been going on with you lately?"Mr.Matthews asked.God why is he so stubborn?
"What do you mean?"I asked and turned back to look at him
"Why did you...change?"Mr.Matthews asked."Why are you hanging out with..lowlifes?"
"If this is about Riley-"
"It's not about Riley this time"He said."Its about you..tell me what's wrong".
"This is about Riley"I said,I knew it was about Riley,"everything is about Riley-".

"No Maya"Mr.Matthews said and sighed."You chose this life..You chose to get bad grades,Be in detention all the time,be a bad influence..but what I done understand is..Why?"
"Why what?"I Asked
"Why did you choose to hang out with these kind of people?"He asked."People who get you in trouble!".

"These are my people"I said."These people are like me,People expect me to act this way and that's is the way I'm acting,This is who I want to be-"
This is all so confusing.
"Ms.Hart"Mr.Matthews said."I want you to think about what you just said-"
"No"I crossed my arms."My life is not your business-"
"Of course it's my business"Mr.Matthews said."Do you know why you're in detention-"
"Being late"I replied quickly.I don't know where he was going with this,I just want to get out of here.

"and what else?"He asked.I shrugged.
"You spray painted the schools wall"Mr.Matthews said."You painted..Hope"
"So?"I asked."What's the big deal-"
"You still have a little bit of hope,don't you?"
"I don't know what your talking about!"I yelled."Your confusing me..Just stop trying to be involved in my life Mr.Matthews,You're not my dad!".

I quickly walked away before someone wrapped my wrist tightly.I hit them in the stomach since my I didn't know who it was.
I heard groaning and looked at the person who was clutching onto their stomach.
"Oh..Sorry Cowboy"I said,embarrassed.
"It's okay"Lucas said but continued to groan."God...You're strong-"
I smiled and helped him get off the floor.

"Did you hear anything?"I asked."Everything?"
"Everything"Lucas said and smiled."Wanna go to a movie?"
"Why?"I asked."At this hour?"
"Yeah"Lucas smiled and held my hand.What does he think he's doing?
"Sure"I said and smiled as we went out of the school.

Anyway,I really tried to bring out my inner Cory while he and Maya were talking
