Lucy Friar,My younger sister was crying as my mother packed her bags.
"Detention again!"My mother mumbled and zipped her luggages."I didn't raise a son so he could just be a disgrace to the family name-"
"Emma,Please stay"My dad begged,He had tears in his eyes,He blinked and they fell."I..I can't do this alone"
"I suggest you try!"My mother shouted and looked at me.She slapped me."I was forced to marry your asshole father,then you came and my life basically went downhill,I never want to see you again,you sad excuse for a son!"

"And you!"My mother turned to my sister."Sassy little bitch,get your fucking grades up for gods sake!"My mother said,She turned to my father."I had enough,Steve,I had enough!"Then she grabbed her luggages and was out before I could say anything.She slammed the door closed and it fell silent.Only to be broken by my younger sisters cries.

I couldn't process what just happened a few minutes ago.My mom and dad always fight but then make up afterwards..This time..My mom left for good.
I didn't have a mom.
What did I ever do to make her hate me so much.
Before I knew it,the tears came and I didn't wipe them away.I just let all my emotions out,I didn't care if crying wasn't manly.I didn't give a fuck at this time.
I was glad it was raining.It wouldn't be obvious that I've been crying.Right now,I was sitting down on the steps to my house.I was alone.

"Hey,Soaring eagle!"The familiar voice of Maya Hart said as I looked up.She looked at me confused before she sat next to me."Are you.......crying?".
"Noooooo"I said and tried to cover up.God damn it.
Maya looked at me and smirked.She was soaking wet,her hair was wet,her clothes were wet.I was wet too.We looked at each other before Maya looked away.
"Why are you here?"I asked.Maya chuckled.

"Mr.Matthews says you have an extra day of detention for not coming today"Maya said then stood up.I pulled her back down."Do not touch me!"Maya warned but I scooted closer to her.Our shoulders we touching and I laid my head on hers.(shoulder).
"Okay Friar,what the fuck is going on with you?"Maya asked."why are you being so...touchy and emotional?".

"I...don't know anymore"I said and shrugged.Then Maya jumped a bit.
"What happened...Did your dad leave or something?"Maya asked.I stop leaning on her and sat up,"Mom...and how did you know that?"I asked.Maya shrugged.
"Don't you remember,Ranger Rick?"Maya asked."I had that same look on me when my father left..I was scared,confused...Angry".
I looked down at my wet clothes then back at Maya."Maya....About what happened in-"
"Don't say it"Maya said."you'll only make it worse between us".
I wasn't really looking forward for an explanation so I nodded and leaned on her again.
We waited for the sky to clear again.
That took long.
