Riley's point of view
"What just happened?"I asked everyone,Maya looked at me and smiled.
"I...I don't know"Maya said and opened her locked again,she got out her books and I noticed something.I looked at her for a while until she laughs and waves her hand in my face."Riles,why are you looking at me?"Maya asked and I pointed to her book.
"It has Lucas on it?"I said."Why?"
"Oh,I borrowed it"Maya said awkwardly and went to join the popular crowd.I sighed as we all separated paths.Just then,someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned.
"Oh...Hi Charlie"I said and he smiled.
"Hey Riley,Listen"He said and took my hand.This is...Great."You want to eat at topangas for our first date?"He asked and I widely smiled.
"Of course"I said."Sounds great"
"Good,see you there at 6"He said then left.I dreamily sighed and went on with my day.
*time skip*
Maya's point of view.
"You look great,Riles"I said and smiled at her.Fuck,I got another text from Billy.
"Lucas?"Riley asked.How is he even an option?.What the Hell.
"Billy"I said."I told him I broke up with him,but he won't take the hint"
"Boys suck"Riley said and straightened her hair.I smiled at her and nodded.
"Have fun with Charlie the creep"I said as we headed to the living room.Riley rolled her eyes."He's not a creep"Riley mumbled and I laughed."Sure"I said."Whatever you say".
"So,where are you going to do while I'm with Charlie?"Riley asked.
"Party"I said and smiled,Riley looked at me in worry.
"I'm kidding"I said,"I said no to the invite,but I'm going to my place,I have to work on the art project and...Some Shit"
Riley smiled."Okay,but I want to tell you all about it-"
"And you will"I said,"Tomorrow"
Riley groaned but finally agreed after a minute since Charlie arrived.
They both left and I smiled.After a while,I went home too to finish my project.
I groaned.It's been an hour of sitting on my bed trying to come up with something and I've come up with nothing.What is going on with me today.This year.Crying for boys?,What the hell is that.Maya Hart doesn't cry for stupid reasons.I rolled my eyes,Lucas Friar is just some stupid boy who came into my life,I never want to see him ever again.
"Hi Maya"Lucas said as he came into my room.
"Oh,Sup Lucas"I said and smiled,then my eyes widen."What the Fuck are you doing in my room,Get out Friar,Get the fuck out,Stalker!"
"Maya,I've been in your room before"Lucas said and I blushed.His eyes widen,"not like that,but remember when we had a history project and I kinda..Yeah".
"Oh...Oh yeah"I said,"That still doesn't give you a damn reason on why you should be in here now,Get out!"I said and grabbed one of my pillows,Hitting him as he chuckled.
"Hey..Lets talk"Lucas said as I sat back on my bed,he sat next to me.I smiled.
"I can't,I have to work on this stupid art project-"
"Did you just call art stupid?"Lucas asked and I shrugged and smiled.
"Yeah,so?"I asked.
"Don't you love Art?"Lucas asked and looked around.
"How did you know that?"I asked.
"Well,for one,Riley always talked about you and your interest in September"Lucas said."And two,you drew all of these pictures on the wall,didn't you?"
"Yeah"I said and smiled."But,I don't know what's going on right now,I can't think".
"Distracted?"Lucas asked and came back to sit with me.I shrugged.
"Yeah"I said and looked at the blank painting on my lap."I've been very distracted lately".Lucas scooted closer to me and smiled.
"Hey,can I ask you something?"I Said and he nodded.
"What happened to you back in Texas?"
Riley's point of view.
"So...What do you want to talk about?"I asked Charlie and took a sip of my smoothie.I couldn't lie,so far our little date was really boring,with Charlie texting on his phone the whole time.Charlie looked at me and smiled,going back to his phone.
"I don't know"Charlie said and sighed.After a while he finally put his phone away.
"So,tell me about Maya!"Charlie said and I smiled.
"Maya is a rebel,but she has an artistic side,She also loves campfires and-"I trailed off,"wait...are you using me to get to Maya?'"
"What!Nooooo"Charlie said but I rolled my eyes.I stood up.
"Good bye Charlie!"I said and walked out of topangas.
Lucas's point of view.
"Do you really want to know?"I asked,Maya nodded,but I was fucking nervous.I never thought I would have to talk about what happened back in Texas to anyone,ever.But ever since I met Riley,I knew she was different.She was someone I could trust..and then I realized,she must've stopped trusting me a long time ago but..I might as well get it out,The truth always comes out even if you don't want it to.And I guess this is the time.
My hands formed into fists as I remembered the memory.I looked into Maya's blue eyes and suddenly felt calmer."I...I can't tell you"I said and stood up.But Maya made me sit back down.I looked at her with a confused face but she just smiled.
"You can tell me anything,Huckleberry".I smiled at her nickname for me.But I shook my head."You're just going to avoid me forever if I tell you".
"Why would I do that?"Maya asked and I smiled.
"Well....I was different back then"I said and shrugged."I'm afraid you won't like how I acted back then-"
"Just tell me,Lucas"Maya said and put her hand on my shoulder.I smiled.
"If we ever go to Texas one day,then I'll tell you"I said and smirked.Maya rolled her eyes."And it hurts me to say...I think we should just be friends,I can't stand hurting you anymore-"
"We were always friends,Friar"Maya said and took her hand off."I..just had a small crush on you...nothing big,but we were always friends..what I had for you back when I met you and through then,it's gone now"
.....
I nodded."Well...okay"I said and looked away from her."Can we start this whole we're-just-friends thing tomorrow...cause I'm sorry for what I'm going to do right now"
"What do you mea-"I didn't let Maya talk much as I cupped her face with my hands and moved in.Maya seemed surprised when I kissed her,but she kissed back.
I bit her lip and she gasped,I deepened the kiss as Maya let out a small moan.
My hands went from her small waist to tangle themselves in her blonde hair.I smiled into the kiss and Maya did the same.I moved so I was how ontop of her and her legs were on my back.I moved from her lips to her neck.Maya moaned again.
I smiled and continued.
