Chapter 16 - The Ambush

  Shiaye's P.O.V.

This was what mom was talking about. An ambush was happening before our eyes. White feathers were falling down making everyone fall asleep.

Kankuro and Termari had taken Gaara out of the arena.  Sasuke had followed after them. I was now going after them while knocking out a couple Sound and Sand village ninja.

Sasuke was fighting Temari when I jumped in the middle of them Sasuke started to glare at me. " Shiaye what side are you on?!"

He threw a kunai at me and I caught it in my arm. " This isn't right Sasuke. They were betrayed!"

Sasuke jumped at me knocking me down before going in the direction Gaara and Kankuro went.

" Temari are you okay?"  She nodded her head as we started to go deeper into the forest.

Sasuke was now talking to Kankuro.  " Temari take Gaara and go."

Kankuro started unwrap his puppets. I can't believe I'm about to do this. Mom I hope you know your advice is going to get me in trouble.

I joined Temari by grabbing Gaaras other shoulder.  We stopped on a nearby branch when hearing my brother voice.

" I want to see what you really are." Gaara looked up at him before pushing Temari and I away.

Sand started to cover Gaara. I knew it was happening,  I just didn't want to believe it.

" He's really going to let that thing out." Temari was scared out of her mind. She was leaning against a tree with her hands in her hair closing her eyes. It made me mad. She was scared of her brother. It's not his fault he had a demon sealed in him.

" Temari. " I mumbled.  She looked over at what I was starting at. Many trees were knocked down and my brother was on all fours on a tree branch.

Gaara was heading straight towards him when Sakura got in his way causing her to get slammed into a tree. The sand started to squash her.

" Sakura!" I jumped down on the sand arm and made sure she was still breathing. That's a relief.

"Now for you Uchiha Sasuke!" Gaara jumped from a branch and was heading straight for my brother.  " Sasuke move!"

Naruto came out of no where and kicked Gaara back making him fall into some leaves. 

This has gone too far. What do I do!? I looked down  at the sand beneath my feet.

Shakaku hungers for my blood. Maybe I could help. ' If you do that you could die! I could die! Shiaye!'

I ignored Shiki's screaming voice in my head.  Taking out the kunai in my arm leading to blood dripping into the sand. You could hear Gaara turn around.

When I look up both of their eyes were on me. I slit my arm open more letting blood pour out of me.

" Take it." I mumble. " Say it again. " This wasn't Gaara speaking  to me in my head, it was Sakaku himself. 

" Take it! It's what you've wanted. " Sand started to go up my legs. Next thing I knew the sand was moving and I was slammed up against something.  The sand was wrapped around me cutting me, and taking my blood away.

Naruto's P.O.V.

" Who are these people? Who are they too you?" Gaara was covered in sand except for his feet.

I clenched my fist. " They are my friends! That's who they are! And if you hurt them anymore than you have, I swear I'll kill you!"

He stood there laughing at me. I started to focus a lot of chakra to make over a thousand clones.
