I returned home. The  tears had subsided as I walked through the door. My mom welcomed me with a suprised look.

"A Mustang? He bought you a car?" She asked

"No, I droppped him off at the airport. He's going to come back and get it later"

She lead me over to the couch. "Tell me about it."

I shrugged not really wanting to talk about it.

"You look so sad" She observed.

I  leaned back on the couch crossing my legs together.

She gave me the 'mom' look "Did he break up with you?"

"No," I shook my head vigirously "I just-The situtation he is in. Im skeptical" I wasnt sure how to explain my feelings as to how I felt, but my mom understood.

"Youre worried he will forget you."

"Yeah, I mean traveling around the world meeting so many beautiful girls-and I am just one average girl"

She brushed a piece of my hair behind my ears. She hated when my bangs fell into my eyes, ever since I was a little girl she would cut them short until I was old enough to make my own decision. "Im not going to lie and tell you that wont happen because I dont know, I can only tell you that you are a strong and independent women. The times I have seen cody and known his reputation he seems genuine and faithful, Just stay aware and dont let yourself slip and become dependent on him"

I hugged her "Thank you" She alwasy dished out the best boy advice and I always trusted her opinion.  I got up and went to shower. I let the warm water run over my body as I thought about Cody, My mind began to drift as I thought about returning to school and facing Austyn.

The next morning I drug myself out of bed and slapped on my make up and outfit. I wore a leather jacket skinny jeans and big boots. I mine as well play the part if I am driving a mustang to school. I poured myself a cup of coffee and sat at the kitchen table waiting for Austyn. She came in quitely her skateboard under her arm,

"Hey" I said handing her a mug.

"Hey" She smiled weakly.

I knew exactly what was wrong. I let out a heavy sigh "Austyn, Im sorry I ditched you."

She shrugged "Its okay, Everyone at school is going to nuts though and the fanbase"

I rested my head on the table and let out a groan "Dont remind me"

"Well you were going to be reminded sooner or later we have 5 minuetes to get to school."

I looked at the clock and paniced. I grabbed my bag and the keys off the counter and made my way to the car. I hopped in turning to Austyn. Her eyes were wide basking in the glory. I giggled "Get in, Ill explain later"  I stepped on the gas as we tore into the parking lot just as the final bell rang. Austyn followed behind quickly as I shuffled into the classroom. I took my seat  and pulled out my things. My cheeks flamed with emberassment,

"Melaine, Our new celebrity" My teacher looked down at me "Youre already letting the fame get to your head, I dont care if youre dating Elvis presely himself there is no being tardy to my class!" I glared at him as he turned toward the board once again. I sank down into my seat. I could feel everyone staring at me .

The rest of the day people asked questions and talked to me. Some even asked for  pictures. It slightly annoyed me. I had gone my whole school career with only Austyn as a friend now all of a sudden everyone wanted to chill. Everyone continued to look at me as a celebrity but Austyn still looked at me as her sister or friend.

Eventually the pictures and annoying conversations got old. I couldnt take it. I liked my normal life where I was on the low. I hadnt even heard from cody in  ages. I pulled into the driveway. My mom sat on the couch. "how was school?" She asked

"Same old ,same old" I murmered.

She sighed "Its been weeks since you have heard from cody..."

I nodded "The keep asking me about him and-"

"Just drive down to LA" She blurted.

"what?" I asked stunned that she would even bring that up.

"Take Austyn and find him."

"This isnt real," I said

"This isnt real to me either but I dont want you getting disappointed, If you want something go get it."
