Angel in Los Angeles

Chapter 3

I avoided his gaze for a moment. Then he spoke.

"I am so sorry." He murmered

I smiled "For what?"  I finally looked at him.

He also had a little smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "I dont usually do that.."

"I wouldve guessed" I giggled gently touching my lips.Just then codys phone rang. I could hear justin ordering him back to the venue. He looked down at me apologetically after he hung up. I stood there awkwardly not sure whether to say 'goodbye' or ' see you later' His smile faded sightly. He pulled me back into his chest for one last hug.

"God, I dont want to say goodbye," he whispered into my shoulder.

I tightned my grip on him. "Lets not say good bye , How about catch ya later?"

I felt his arms release from my waist. "Whats your number?" he asked.

I handed him my phone. After he put in his number he kissed my cheek one last time. "I'll see you later melaine" He smiled as he got into the SUV.

I Shuffled over to my moms car and slid into the front seat. She wore an oversized sweatshirt. Her hair was piled ontop of her head in a messy bun. She sat silent staring out the window  gripping the stearing wheel. I sucked in a breath prepping myself for the lecture on how reckless I was. 

"Mom-" I began but was instantly cut off.

"You hung out with Cody SImpson!" She cried out. I sat stunned for a moment then she spoke again. "A date with him! Do you releaize you just lived out every angels dream?" She was fangirling harder then I was.

I laughed "Mom! Relax youre more excited then me right now."

She started the car and pulled out of the parking lot. "Well what happned? I need details! Austyn will be stoked to hear!"

I told her everything that happened in one breath.  "And he kissed me."

"Kissed you?!" she said a little to loudly. "Like was it an accident or planned?"

I shrugged "How am I supposed to know I was submerged in La la land!"

"Did you atleast get his number?" She asked taking her eyes off the road for a brief moment.

"Yeah, I did" I fidgited with my phone in my lap.

"well sounds like you had quit a night" She said calmly

It was 5 am by time I fell into bed. My head spun. All I could think about was cody.  finally my mind allowed me to drift into a deep sleep. I woke up with my face pressed into the pillow. I flopped over and thought about my dream of kissing Cody Simpson. I chuckled. I grabbed my phone releazing it wasnt a dream as  I saw Codys contact. I laid in bed for 20 minutes debating whether to text him or not. Finally I made up my mind .

"Hey, Its melaine (:"

"Hey. Long time no see. How did you sleep?"

"I didnt..."

"You too huh? I was thinking about last night. It was one of the best shows."

"I wouldnt know;)"

"Haha well Its soumd check time so I will mesage you later xx"

"Good luck tonight xx"

I set my phone down and rolled out of bed. I made my way to the kitchen. Austyn sat at the bar with a bowl of yogurt infront of her.

 "Hello melaine" She said in an interagator voice. "We meet again"

I frowned "What are you doing here?" I asked dishing up fruit.

She ignored the question. She studied my face. "Youre Smitten!!" She cried

"Shhh Austyn! I have parents sleeping."

"Who did you meet?" She slid closer to me.

I hesitated.

"Pleae Melaine we never keep secrets" she slid off the stool to take her dishes to the sink.

"youll never belive me" I mumbled stirring around the left over strawberries in my bowl.

She paused from adjusting her blonde ponytail. "Wait...did you meet Cody with out me? Is that were you went?" She raised her voice again.

"I didnt mean to I just kinda woke up and we went out to dinner and yeah..." I strugggled to explain what happened.

"Oh my god!" She squeeled "dinner with Cody?" I let her celebrate and ask questions but I never revealed what had actually happened....
