chapter 17 part 2

I wrapped my sweater around my mid-drift as I crossed the sidewalk and up to Austyns door steps. She opened the door. Her fatigued eyes widened to the size of saucers.

"What are you doing here?" She asked making it obvious she was annoyed.

"I came back to apologize" I said sincerely 

She crossed her arms skeptically and leaned against the door frame. "Well?" She looked at me coldly

I hesitated "Well...Im sorry, I realize I was such a jerk and It wasnt me! Nothing, Not even Cody should come between our epic friendship. We have been through everything since kindergarten for god sake!"

Her expression shifted for a  brief moment . I waited for her to say something, but she didnt.

I sighed "Im sorry" I said quietly before turning to walk away.

"Wait!' She finally said. I turned to see her gesturing towards me. "youre right,  12 years of friendship cant go down the toilet because of a guy. And I would never in a million years ask you to break up with Cody simpson."

"I didnt think you would," I mumbled "but Im genuinely sorry"

She hugged me wrapping the blanket she had over her shoulders around me as well. "All is forgive" She said releasing me.

I stepped back. 

"Well come in silly!" She stepped aside letting me in. 

She brewed our favorite tea and we say in her bed.

"So...hear anymore about scooter?" She asked excitedly

"We meet on december first!" I said 

"So thats when you go back to LA?"

"Yeah only for a few hours, I wont have the chance to see Cody, but Ill see him in january" 

"Tour?" She asked excitedly 

"mhmmm!" I said just as enthusastically. I slid my hand down the warm mug "You definetly need to catch a few shows! Maybe newyork, LA and Portland?"

"YES!!" She yelled.

I giggle falling on my back as she bounced up and down on the bed.

After she chilled out  she looked at me "You know now that I have thought about it we have been on some pretty insane adventures."

"Yeah" I agreed "Remember that one time in 3rd grade at your back to school sleep over and we did the blind fold make over and I accidnetly sprayed Nikki in the eye with febreze?" I laughed 

Austyn cracked up. "Or when in 5th grade we got sent to the principles office when we covered her car in sticky notes?"

"Haha how about the time we put pickles on peoples doorsteps and nearly got busted by the only sheriff int town"

"Oh yeah thats the night we  crashed that fiesta and ate as many tacos as we could"

I shook my head laughing. We really did have some cool times even If they seemed small at the time. "Now we are going to have some more epic adventures to come! and nothing will stop us"

Our smiles faded as we saw the TV screen at the same time. "Australian heart throb Cody Simpson was spotted in Malibu with a new girl this saturday.Sources arent familier with who she is yet."

My jaw dropped. As I clawed for my phone a picture popped up of the back of his head with him walking with a blonde girl who had  her arm wrapped loosly around his torso.

"The only problem with that picture is that girl isnt me!" I said shocked. I began dialing Codys number. 

"Hello" I said cooly 

"Melaine! TMZ! Its just a fan" He panted. 

I realxed slightly my nerves still viberating"okay okay, dont worry about it"

"Im sorry if you thought..did you?"

I hesitated Im not sure why I did, but" 

"Okay well Im so sorry"

"I let out a breath "okay"

"babe my phones going to die Iwill call you when I get home"

Bye I love you."

"Love you more times a thousand and one" He chuckled Then the line went dead.
