C8. Red in Jealous

For whatever reason it was, you went to have lunch with Kuroko on the school roof. Your heartbeat was pounding 100 times faster, your cheeks were slightly red. Kuroko was now in front of you with a smile on his face. 'Oh how cute he was' you mentally squealed. You had brought bento for him too. For the past three minutes, Kuroko had been too quiet while eating the bento. He would sometimes moan, (which suprised you a bit).

"Ano, Kuroko? How does it taste like?" You asked. You were giving him a wary looks, which he took as adorable. Kuroko gave the sincere smile as he nodded. "It's very delicious." A relief sigh escaped your mouth. You wouldn't want him to eat something so bad and literally throw it all out, that would be the same thing as killing him. You snapped out from the ugly thoughts as you smiled, gazing at the sky.

Kuroko's change of behaviour wasn't anymore weird. You realized he was just trying to be nice and all (or so what you thought). In the nick of a time, you and Kuroko have become closer than before. Or was it just you clinging to him? No no. Definitely not. Kuroko was the one who asked you for lunch, and he was also the one who greeted you every morning and bid you goodbye when class had ended.

Kuroko ate the last bit of the bento before he muttered a thanks (Japanese style). And then he shifted his gaze to you. "Aren't you eating?"

Oh great, he asked. You were currently having a diet. You found out that you had gained a bit weight two days ago and decided to reduce your meal time. You even need to eat veggies and no rice for the whole day. You sweatdropped at that and waved your hand. "No, no i'm full already." You said, not wanting him to know.

But Kuroko was concerned. Eventhough he was worried, he just shrugged it off and told you that you need to eat.

3 hours more before you can go home and had leisure times before packing up your clothes for tomorrow vacation. And it was the end of the year too. Riko invited you to come since you had nothing to do, you were to cook for them, buy them drinks and stuffs. You were like a pretend manager. Although you didn't mind doing all those stuffs now.

...Summer would be boring without Kuroko after all...

"Thanks for your help (L/N) -san."

"Ah, yes. You're welcome."

You mentally sigh as you headed to your classroom. The teachers had been asking you for help since afternoon. You were a top student and well known among the teachers, so why not? You got the first seat in the list and you were always offered to be the president in the council which you always refused. Since that day, you were unable to do things like sports or harsh works. You always had a fragile body. But that was only known by a few people. The principal, your family, and your cousin.

Your body was now sore, you haven't even had your lunch. Considering you were still on diet. As soon as you got into the classroom, you found that it was empty. Of course, people had gone home by now. You would've too if you didn't help the teacher though. But that would be a bad thing to do.

You rushed to pack your stuffs because it was getting darker. After that you ran to the locker and changed your shoes. You were expecting for Kuroko to accompany you until this late and went home together but your hope was just crushed when he wasn't there. It can't be help, you and Kuroko were just friends after all . "(Y/N)." A masculine voice was heard as you cocked your head to the side. "Kagami?" Somehow this happens a lot. "You're still here?" You asked as you shifted your gaze to him. He was standing in front of you with a grumpy face. "I was waiting." He said in a soft but husky voice.

...Kagami Taiga was waiting for you? Why though?

"You don't have to do that." You blurted out. You didn't mean it in a harsh way but why would Kagami wait for you? "You need to learn to be grateful."  You frowned,"No, what.. I mean, why?"

"Because.. i.." He paused before rubbing his neck. "Because we're friends.." He finished. Just because of that? How stupid. You smiled at that and passed by him. "Well then lets go." Although, it was not just because of that. Isn't it obvious?

As you walked by the red head's side, you hummed a random tune trying to be happy when you were actually not. Why? Because it has always been Kagami who walk you home. You weren't saying that you hate it but why can't it be Kuroko? Why was it instead Kagami? Oh geez, when you were getting closer to Kuroko.

You sighed at the thought but was noticed by Kagami. He was curious, just what you had in the mind of yours? And then he decided to know. "You don't seem happy to be with me."

"What?! No, no. It's just you see-" You were cut off when a voice called out for you from behind.

"SENPAI!"

The both of you looked at the person. Guess who? "K-Kuroko?!" You raised your eyebrows. "Why're you here?"

"Senpai, i came to fetch you. I thought you'd gone home but when i found out that you were still at school, i rushed there. Sorry." He explained with a stoic face. But you still know that he was worried. Happiness was all you could feel at the moment. "Daijoubu." You said as you gave him a warm smile. That was when he noticed Kagami was there.

"Kagami-kun?"

Kagami forced a smile on his face. He waved his hand. "Yo Kuroko. I have to do something so can you bring (Y/N) home?" "Hmn." Replied the bluenette as the red head walked off after bid you goodbye. You watched Kagami getting further away until he was no longer seen.

"Senpai lets go, it's getting late."

"R-right."

As you walked behind Kuroko, you recalled seeing Kagami's face before he left.

...Kagami seemed sad.. but..
