Waverly's POV
My stuffed lion is tucked under my arm and ready to get on the plane. It's kinda scary going across the world alone but my dads say I will be perfectly safe. I'm in my comfy clothes, my Uggs secure on my feet. The cluttered airport gives me anxiety, I have to constantly reassure myself that I'm gonna be okay.
"Calm down, sweetheart." Lion pets my braided head. "I can practically feel your heart beat from up here."
"I'm sorry, I can't help it." I say sheepishly.
"Take this when you get on the plane so you can sleep the whole way there," he holds out a medium sized pill. "An attendant will wake you up when the flight is over." I take the pill from his hand and put in my mouth. I down it with my bottle of water so I can get it over with.
A ladies voice comes over the intercom talking about a flight to LA and boarding passengers. I stand up and put my backpack on.
"That's you, little one." Daddy smiles and gives me a tight hug. I squeeze his torso and move on to Lion.
"Be good, call us when you can. Remember, we are trusting you. We will come to LA to pick you up in couple of weeks." He explains.
"I love you both, I promise to call you." I give them both kisses and head to board my plane.
Thankfully I have a window seat with nobody else next to me. I lean my head against the thick glass, the clouds below catch my attention. They are big and fluffy and beautiful against the sky's hue.
My mind starts to haze a little while watching the sky cotton, my eyes droop suddenly demanding sleep. I cuddle my lion and allow the medicine to do its job.
The room is hot with flames screaming at me from the floor. Ali stands there just looking at me with the most heartbreaking look. He's angry. The flames touch my fingers tips but theres an icy sensation substituting the blistering heat.
"I'm not even sorry." He whispers. My heart and mind detach themselves from my body and seem to float above me. I look around and cry out. My breathing is out of control, my lungs feel like they are gonna explode. I take a deep breath and float to the top of the room, through the ceiling, and up into the clouds.
"Miss? Miss?" I small cold hand shakes my shoulder lightly. My drowsy eyes try to open a little. "Miss? The plane has landed, its time to go now."
"Mhmm.." is all I can manage to make out. That flight didn't last very long, but I'm too tired to focus on anything. My eyes are too heavy to be opened.
"She's the one who's father we talked to.." I hear the lady whisper to someone. "Miss Lester, can we escort you down the hall please?"
I try my best to get up and put my backpack on. "Its Howell Lester.." I mumble. I take my lion and drowsily follow the attendant off the plane and into the airport.
Before I know it, I loose the attendant and find myself wandering. My sleepy feet shuffle towards the direction everyone else from my flight is going. The only thing I really notice is the darkness outside, I just wanna sleep. Everything becomes a blur, and as far as I know, I'm asleep.
Daniel's POV
I look around the airport and skim through the passengers exiting the hall. Waverly's galaxy suitcase is already by my side, now I just need to find her.
After a few minutes of looking, I finally spot the sleepy girl. Her eyes are barely open as she slowly makes her way through the crowd. Her black French braid is messy and adorable. Her sweater paws hold her stuffed lion, how cute.
From the corner of my eye I spot an older guy eyeing her, I scrunch my eyebrows and my smile fades. He looks her up and down and begins to inch toward her. I quickly sprint to her and pretend not to notice him.
