Chapter Four

After a few days I decide to go back and visit Waverly. It's only a couple of days after Christmas, I'm actually really nervous to see her. I told her I would come back after a day or two, not a week and a half. I reach the front desk to see Ms Bigsly reading a worn copy of 50 Shades Of Grey. Oh.

"Daniel! Hello!" she put her book down and smiled at me. Ignoring her choice of erotica, I return the smile. "I hope you had a good Christmas, darling?"

"Yes, it was a quite.. Eventful holiday.."

"I'm so happy you liked everything, Lion." I smile at my boyfriend in awe of his adorable Christmas cheer. He always gets so excited for the holidays. I sit on the couch and start folding the jumpers and shirts I've just received.

"Oh look!" Phil says, catching my attention. He grabs a little present from the back of the tree that's wrapped in black paper and decorated with a small red bow. "Looks like you've missed one!"

Phil hands me the tiny box and I smile immediately, I know exactly what it is. I start to rip the paper and I look up at him. "Its the Star Wars button I looked at in the shop isn't it!"

"Look and see," he shrugs and gets to his knees between my legs. His eyes focus on the box and his hands rest on my thighs.

I tear the paper from the box and slowly open it. My faces falls and my eyes widen. This is no Star Wars button. It's a ring. My free hand covers my mouth and Phil gently takes the box from my hands.

"Daniel," he begins. "I love you so much. I've loved you ever since I laid eyes on you. You were my first everything. My first boyfriend, my first love, first kiss. You've held me when I was low, and you've cheered me at my highest point. There is nobody else I would rather spend the rest of my life with. I promise to do whatever it takes, be whoever it takes to make you happy. I promise to take care of you and support your every step on this Earth if you would do me a favor and allow me to marry you. Will you marry me?"
