A midsummer night dream in September

"I'm so sick of being single" I say as I lay down on one of the big beds.

We're in our favourite store, and yes you guessed right, it's IKEA.

I don't know why it's our favourite, but we've developed a weird kind of love for this maze of beds and bedrooms. Maybe it's because you can walk through a door and find yourself in a whole other life.

And so of course we were exited beyond belief when the next dare was ' IKEA adventure'

"Me too" Hannah says and slumps down beside me. "We're like the three last virgins on earth" Immediately after she says it, we hear Renee cleansing her throat. Our eyes dart to where she is standing in front of us. She is looking at us with her eyebrows rised and a smirk on her lips.

" Oh yeah, I forgot about that" Hannah corrects herself. " Two virgins and one very naughty nun"

At that, i crack. I start laughing hysterically,  rolling around on the bed, not paying attention to all the weird glances we get.

" You did not just say that!" I manage to say between two laughter-waves. " Yes i did"

I finally manage to pull myself together when i feel the matress swaying,  telling me that Renee has put her ass on it too.

" I seriously don't understand why you guys are complaining. Getting a boyfriend is really easy" she says. "Nuh huh" I say, rolling over to face her.  "Not for me"

I have never had a boyfriend,  not even in second grade. I don't know whats wrong with me, it's not like i don't want to get a boyfriend.  It's just that when i fall for someone,  i fall Hard, and the person i like never likes me back.

"Just watch and learn bitches.  Watch and learn" Renee says as she gets up and start looking out over the crowd. A couple of minutes later, a really cute boy who looks like he's our age walks by.

Strangely enough, he's alone.      

" What are you doing? " i ask her frantically, but she just winks at me and walks towards him.

I hold my breath. Anything can happen.

"Hi" she says, fluttering her eyelashes and tossing her long red hair over her shoulder. " Hi" He says, smiling.

" Are you single? " if anyone else in this world would have asked this question after having known the person for two seconds, it would have seemed creepy. But when Renee says it, it doesn't.  She makes the question seem innocent yet flirtatious.

" Yes" He's still smiling.

" Do you wanna be my boyfriend?  I'll give you a blow job"

The question comes out of nowhere, and i have to shove the blankets on the bed into my mouth not to laugh.

Of course we all expected him to say no, but then he said: "yes, why not"

"Kiss me" Renee whisper,  and their lips softly crash together.

We watch in awe as he push her against the wall and the kiss deepens. Their lips moves together and when I'm starting to wonder which one of them are going to faint first, he pulls away for a couple of seconds before he plants a soft kiss on her red lips.

Renee seems to be at a loss of words for a change,  but she quickly recovers and says: "it was nice meeting you ehhh..." "Austin" "Right,  Austin. But I'm breaking up with you"

She start walking towards us, but then the biggest plot twist in history decide to occur. Because Austin wraps his hands around her waist and says: " you still owe me something"

I feel my jaw drop, and i can see the shock in Renees eyes, but she doesn't say anything as he drags her away to a bedroom and pulls a curtain to hide them.

Needless to say, I'm in complete shock.

"Did that just happen?" Hannah asks beside me. "I don't know" I say, meaning it. Did that just happen or did we just imagine the blonde boy and the red-haired girl standing in front of us?

Just when I've decided it was just a dream,  we hear Renees unmistakable giggles coming from behind the curtains. 

" Yep, that did definitely just happen"

...

We wait for Renee for what feels like an eternity, and I've started wondering whether she's still alive, when i get a text from her saying : 'just go, I'll catch up with you later'

We sit for a while, debating whether we should leave or not, when another giggle floats our way. "Okay, I've officially had enough. Let's go to 'three teacups'" Hannah says and i agree with her. I am kind of hungry, and if i stay here for much longer,  I'm going to lose my appetite. 

Renees P.O.V

I'm out of breath,  running for the bus. My cheeks are flushed and my mind is full of stars. It's like I'm in a fairy tale where I'm a princess who has just met her prince.

I remember the taste of his lips, the feeling of his fingers between mine and the sound of our laughter dancing together like butterflies on a summer night. I cannot think of anything else,  I'm utterly and completely happy.

I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket.

I pull it out, expecting to see a text from Cat or Hannah, but it's from him.

'When can i see you again?  xx'

Mt fingers dance over my screen,  typing an answer.

'Tonight? xx '

He replies instantly.

'Be ready at eight. I can't wait to introduce you to great things.  xx'

Now this, is a midsummer night dream.

This chapter kind of came out of nowhere,  and i know it doesn't have much to do with the other chapters,  but i really wanted to write it. And it's really short, sorry about that too, I'll make the next one longer:)
