A/N Hey guys! Sorry that it's been so long since I updated. School is keeping me super busy this semester. I'm taking Biology, Statistics, and for my teaching classes, I have to work 40 hours in a classroom. So I'm probably not gonna have much time to update regularly but I am going to update, I promise!

I have a new idea I want some feedback on. It's called The Friend Zone so will y'all please do me a favor and check it out . I would like to know what y'all think. It's posted in my profile.

Ava's POV

"Ava, come here a minute." Mama hollered from the kitchen.

It had been a few days since our bonding moment in the living room. We were on speaking terms again, though I was still on house arrest. I laid the shirt I was folding down on the foot of bed. There was a rather large stack sitting next to it that I had not gotten around to putting away yet. I made a mental note to do that later, as I hopped off of my bed and began to make my way to the front of the house.

As I rounded the corner to go into the kitchen, I stopped dead in my tracks. My mother was sitting at the dining table, sipping tea with Parker. What in the hell was going on? Mama turned towards me and offered me a smile. Parker shot me a quick wink, letting me know that everything was alright. I slowly walked closer to the table and took a seat on the opposite side of the table from Parker. My mother was sitting at the head of the table, in the chair my dad normally occupied.

"What's going on?" I asked, as I looked between the two of them.

"Parker stopped by to ask if you could go with him to the movies tonight. Molly still doesn't trust him to go out on his own."

"I would have your brothers if we could hang out, but apparently they both have plans." Parker spoke as if I was his last option.

"Gee thanks," I rolled my eyes at him and folded my arms across my chest.

"Anyways," Mama interjected, "If you can go out and behave tonight, then you're no longer grounded. But, i expect you home by 11:30, am I clear?"

"Absolutely."

"Don't worry Mrs. Lake. I'll have her home by 11." Parker offered Mama one of his endearing smiles. I rolled my eyes.

I mustered up the best 'you disgust me' look that I possibly could, before saying, "Shoot for 10:45 if you can."

"Can the two of you make it a whole evening without killing one another?" Mama glanced between us, one of her eyebrows arched.

"I'll bring her back home safely, I promise."

"The same can't be said for him." I informed her.

"Would you go get dressed so we can leave? I would actually like to make it to the movies sometime today." Parker snapped at me, as his eyes narrowed into slits.

"You know, I could decide to stay home. Then you wouldn't be able to go out at all," I stuck my tongue out at him as I stomped off into the direction of my room.

"That's fine, I'll take Mrs. Layla to the movies. I bet she isn't nearly as uptight as you are." Parker called after me. I let out a frustrated yell, hoping it convinced my mother that I loathed Parker Stevens.

I quickly pulled on one of my casual sundresses. It was solid black with a white belt around it. It stopped about 2½ inches above my knees. It was super comfy, plus it had pockets, so it was one of my favorites. I braided my curls back into a low bun and applied minimal make up, after all, I didn't want to look like I was trying too hard. I put on my pearl earrings before sliding on a pair of sandals and declaring myself acceptable enough to go out. After grabbing my wallet and keys off of my night stand (I still wasn't allowed to have my phone) and then, I went to meet Parker in the foyer.
