Ava POV

I led Parker through the fence into my grandparents backyard. Both of their vehicles were gone, so there was no need to go through the house. The pool was waiting for us. The sun was already out and beating down on us. It always amazed me how hot Georgia could get. 100 degree weather was common for us... actually during June and July we experienced it everyday.

I laid my towel down on one of the chairs and slide out of my flip flops. Parker laid his towel down next to mine, then took off his shirt. I had to catch my breathe at the sight. I thought he was gorgeous before, but a shirtless Parker was even better.

"I think you've got a little drool." His thumb touched the edge of my lips and his eyes sparkled. I began to glare at him.

"You aren't THAT good looking." He smirked.

"The look you had on your face just then said otherwise." I rolled my eyes.

"Cockiness isn't an attractive trait."

He began to chuckle but abruptly stopped when I pulled my T-shirt over my head and flung it onto the chair next to my towel. I sent him a satisfied smirk.

"Close your mouth, you're going to catch flies." It was his turn to roll his eyes. He wrapped one arm around my waist and pulled me to him, my back against his chest. His mouth was right next to my ear.

"I've got a better idea of what I could do with my mouth." I turned my head so I was looking at him and gave him a smile. My eyes fluttered down to his lips, which were in close proximity with my own, then back to his eyes.

"Do you plan on sharing this brilliant idea?" I felt my heart speed up a little as his eyes glanced down to my lips, watching as I raked the bottom one between my teeth.

He didn't respond, instead he leaned down and gently moved his mouth on mine. I turned my body so I could wrap my arms around his neck, while his hands rested on my back, pressing me closer to him. My fingers twisted in the hair at the nape of his neck as I tried to draw his head closer for better access.

I've never understood what people meant when they say talk about fireworks or sparks. I guess I didn't understand, because I never felt it... that is, until I kissed Parker. That boy stirred up butterflies, sparks, firecrackers, all kinds of emotions that I had never experienced.

He pulled back and lightly kissed the tip of my nose and then pecked my lips again. I absentmindedly ran my thumb across his bottom lip, which was now swollen and smiled up at him.

"You're right that was a better idea." I whispered. He pecked my lips again.

"We'd better get in the pool before someone finds us like this." He smiled at me, as he looked down at our bodies that were still close together. I nodded and we moved apart.

I walked over to the steps and stuck my left foot in, just to test the water. I ended up pulling it right back out. It was still cold. I heard footsteps coming up behind me, but didn't pay any attention, since I knew it was Parker. I would later regret that. Before I could register what was going on, I felt someone grab me around my waist and throw me over their shoulder and take a few steps backwards.

"Parker, put me down!"

"You look like you're going to have a heat stroke Ava, I think we should get you in the water. "

"Don't you dare!" I yelled. But it was too late. He was already running in the direction of the pool. I felt my body flying through the air and then there was a splash. I touched the bottom of the pool and pushed up. I took a gulp of air as I hit the surface and looked around for the culprit. He was floating around on his back without a care in the world.
