Ava's POV
"They're still standing out there." Beau peeked out the window of the game room for the 10th time in the hour that we had been in there, "What could they possibly be talking about?"
"Dude, would you just come sit down and play the game?" Andrew called from the other side of the room, where he and Aiden were playing on the x-box.
I rolled my eyes and didn't bother to glance up from my book, "Relax Beau, I don't think Parker is interested in her." Or at least, he had better not be, I thought.
"Well he sure as hell looks it." He muttered unhappily.
I sighed and stood up. Andrew and Aiden were too absorbed in their game to care. I moved the brown curtain slightly to the side and looked out at the back yard. Most of the little kids were running around in their bathing suits, going from the sprinklers to the pool, then back to the sprinklers and the slip'n'slide. I could hear their squeals of delight, even though I was inside. My eyes finally landed on the two teenagers, who were sitting on the edge of the pool, with their feet dangling in and their heads thrown back in laughter. I frowned. They did look mighty cozy.
"They look like two friends that are hanging out." I shrugged, my expression neutral once more.
"You and I both know that Parker didn't get his reputation from just hanging out with girls."
"Well are you just gonna stand in here and pout all afternoon or are you gonna do something about it?" Aiden spoke up.
"And just what do you suggest I do, Aiden? Go flaunt Ava around?" Beau asked exasperatedly.
My brothers shared a look, "It's not a bad idea.." Andrew stated.
"It's a terrible idea!" Beau exclaimed, looking at Drew as if he had grown two more heads.
"All I'm saying is, maybe if you flirt with Av in front of her, she might get a little jealous." My oldest brother continued talking. As much I hated to admit it, Drew knew what he was doing. He had after all, grown up with a sister. He learned early on about how girls worked, which is probably why he was also our resident play boy. Perhaps, he had learned how we worked a little too well.
"Ava, back me up here." Beau turned to me for help.
I scrunched up my nose, "Beau, he knows what he is talking about. You may want to listen to him." If he wanted to get Mallie to pay him attention, he needed to do this. I also thought that he should do it because I was a little sick of being ignored by Parker and I figured that flirting with Beau might be a good way to catch his eye.
"Of course Ava is willing to help," Aiden chuckled, "This is the closest she'll get to going on a real date." And naturally, Andrew laughed right along with him
I glared at the two of them. Sometimes, I really hated my brothers. I ignored his comment and turned my attention back to Beau, "If you want to make her jealous, I'll help you, if not then stop sulking and let me read my book in peace."
He ran his fingers through his hair and let out a sigh, "How should we do this?"
I gave him a devious smirk, "Leave it to me," I told him as I grabbed his hand and began to pull him towards the game room door.
I commanded him to change into his swim suit and I did the same. My bikini was red, white and blue, which I thought was fitting for the occasion. The bottoms were white with navy blue stripes and the top was solid red. My brothers had teased me about it, they told me that I looked like a little kid, but I thought it was cute. I met Beau out in the hallway, he was shirtless and wearing solid white swimming trunks, which looked great against his sun kissed skin. Mallie might not have been paying attention to him before, but once she saw his naked chest, she wouldn't be able to keep her eyes off of him.
