Markus and Saint had been walking for 5 hours before finally arriving at a somewhat large house. Markus slumped on the porch, coaxing Riley out of her hiding space. She submitted with ease, but also felt limp. Markus slowly and carefully wrapped his fingers around her fragile body. She moaned in protest, pawing at the gigantic fingers that covered her with ease. Heck, she was the same size as Markus's thumb! She could easily be crushed by the giant if he wasn't careful enough, or to much. The human squirmed in her sleep, her heart pounding. Markus laid his hand out flat and she stopped squirming, and went back to sleeping peacefully.

"You know, this was somewhat smart, yet dumb at the same time." Saint hissed as the walked up the porch.

"Well, we are closer to BloodLust's castle, so, they wouldn't expect us to be here." Markus said.

"Markus, that's the stupidest assumption I've ever heard you say. This is exactly where they'll begin their search!" Saint said, glancing around nervously.

Markus rolled his eyes, and knocked on the door. He heard a lock click, then the door slowly opened, an arrowhead pointing out of the door.

"I've told you many times! I don't harbor humans! Leave me be!" A voice said.

"Relax Husky, we're not soldiers!" Saint said, "Brachiosaur here got in trouble and he needs a place to crash. Think you can provide us with that?"

The arrow lowered out of view, then the door swung open, revealing a man slightly taller than Saint with one blue eye and one brown eye, white hair, wolf ears, a turquoise jacket, grey shirt, blue jeans, wolf tail, and black shoes. His bow was still armed, ready to strike at a moments notice. He sighed then spoke. "Alright, fine! Hurry up before I change my mind!"

Both Giants walked into the house, looking around to take in their new surroundings. It was an ordinary house, really, but they needed to get used to the layout. Markus put Riley on his shoulder, and she curled up, gripping the fabric in her sleep. He chuckled, then sat down on the couch, Saint sat down next to him and Parker sat in a chair across. He looked at Riley, then at Markus.

     "She your's?" Parker asked.

"Hm? Oh, yeah, nearly became lunch for Fenrir." Markus replied.

"Fenrir? BloodLust's top general?!" Parker said.

"Yeah, shot him in the neck." Saint said, looking at Riley. She had been sleeping for a while now, unlike humans should be, they couldn't sleep for long periods of time like Giants could.

"Hey, is Riley okay?" Saint asked.

"I'm not sure, she just fell asleep in my pocket on the way here. She'll probably wake up later. She's been drowsy lately, so it's best for her to rest." Markus said, standing up. He turned to Parker with a sheepish grin, then spoke. "Um, is it okay if we stay here?"

"Yeah, I don't mind, there's a spare bedroom down the hall to your left." Parker said, glancing at Riley. "She doesn't look to well, almost as if she's, drugged."

"She's developed insomnia, I've already told Saint that. Her newfound alert-senses haven't let her rest, and humans need rest just as much as they need food and water. We don't need sleep that much, but they do." Markus explained.

"Alright, are you sure she's okay, I can smell things that she shouldn't have." Parker suggested.

"I can too, and she isn't drugged. I've done a simple test to see if she's responsive, which drugged humans don't respond. She passed, so she's not drugged." Markus said, walking into the spare bedroom. He put Riley onto a pillow, and she curled up. Markus was worried about Riley, since she would've woken up, but instead, she only stirred, then went back to sleep. He knelt down, wondering if Parker was right.

"Hey, Ri, we're here, you can wake up now." Markus whispered, lightly poking Riley. She didn't even wake up. Markus looked at her, then got up and went back to where the others were.

I've never seen anything like what Riley has. She might be sick. Markus thought, walking back to the living room.

***Elsewhere***

Blood dripped from a giant's teeth and nails, the carcass of a chimera inches in front of him. His foot tapped impatiently as he waited for his partner.

"He's late, again." The giant snarled, his bloody dragon eyes glanced at an empty birdcage. He grabbed the rest of the carcass and shoved it into his mouth. A small figure climbed onto the desk and cleared its throat. The giant turned towards the human, and smirked. "I thought you had gotten lost or confused for one of those pesky humans, Arcane."

"Oh, I just managed to make the WildBlood unconscious, easy picking, really." Arcane said, glancing at the empty birdcage. "What will you do with it?"

"The WildBlood, well, I heard that Angelic creatures are talented, WildBloods have a lovely singing voice." The giant said, gesturing to the cage. It was a golden cage with a mirror, bed, and food water dishes.

"Well then, just be warned, they do have anger issues. Shall I send my Hunter-Wyvern out to fetch her? I managed to slip a hunter's mark into her pocket." Arcane said. The giant smiled, his sharp blood-stained teeth showing, then nodded.
