I was walking of the stage, sweat dripping down my back, having just finished my afternoon set in the gazing sun at a European festival. I was excited, the festival summer was about to start and I was going to be able to catch so many other amazing acts during the rest of the day, before getting on my tour bus to travel to the next festival during the night.

Having learnt from doing the festival circus a few summers in a row I only booked a few solo shows in between and always allowed for some free time to just walk around the festival area and enjoy the atmosphere.

After greeting my tour manager Jessica, who had an unscrewed water bottle ready for me to gulp down, and getting a hug from my drummer Tom on his way backstage. I greeted some of the people who had watched my set from the sidelines and slowly walked back to my dressing room.

I was ready to take a shower and change out of my tight little black dress that was drenched in sweat. However before I made it to my private area I felt a hand on my shoulder as someone called my name for attention. As I turned I round I had to look up to see who was behind me as he easily towered several inches over my 5'6.

"Edie! I just wanted to say I loved your set" It took me a moment to realize that the tall, skinny man, or boy, with dark brown hair falling down to almost his shoulders and piercing blue eyes standing behind me and giving me a complement was maybe one of the hottest rock stars at the moment. Noel Wilson.

After regaining my bearings and feeling more than a little self conscious about the sweat that still trickled down my back I stuttered a thanks and turned to continue on my way. However before I even took a single step Noel was standing in front of me blocking my way "Hey, I never got to introduce my self to you".

"No need, I know who you are Noel" I replied avoiding his easy grin.

"Oh good then, I was meaning to ask if you wanted to catch dinner with me before my set, and maybe if you would come watch my band later tonight" Even as he gave of a self assured vibe I could tell he got a little nervous as he awaited my answer, and I silently stared him down. "You don't have to if you don't want to" he added after my a few seconds as my answer was delayed. "I just really admire your music and I have been waiting for a chance to talk to you since I saw your gig in New York a few months ago".

As his presence and the fact that he was talking to me wasn't enough of a chock to my system, this confession had me even more startled. But how could I say no to that? I had already planned on watching their set from the sides of the stage too after all. "Well yeah, sure. I would like that. I just really need to change clothes and yeah, freshen up a little." I said when I finally found my voice.

"Either we can decide on a meeting point, or you could come wait by my dressing room whilst I get ready" I trailed of, unsure if I could really let one of the worlds biggest rock stars wait outside while I showered. I wasn't an unknown name myself but somehow people I admired still got to me, and Noel Wilson and his song writing was definitely someone and something I admired.

Noel just grinned at me like what are you waiting for, and made a motion to follow me to my dressing room.

As it turned out his own dressing room wasn't far from mine and as soon as I made my way to take a shower and change clothes he went over there to talk to some of his band mates.

After quickly showering and debating weather it was a good idea to wear a black Nine Inch Nails band tee out in the scorching sun, I settled on a plain black tank top and a t-shirt fabric miniskirt. Before I went to look for Noel I gave my self a little pep talk about how he was just a normal person.
