They stayed at the camp for three days. Eve managed to find her parents and Chloe didn't see much of her after that. After reuniting with her mother she spent most of her time looking for a healer. She was reluctant to tell her mother where Emma was or what happened to her but her absence could not be explained in any other way. Just as expected, Linda went insane trying to help her daughter find a healer. This however was no easy task. A lot of people ran away or died during the attack and the population in the camp was very low. It took them a while to find one, but the main problem after that was getting him to come with them.
He seemed to be the only person able to heal humans and dragons and the people did not want him to leave in case something happened. Though Chloe and Linda begged everyone to understand, the final answer was no. The healer, who was called Mason, pitied them and promised them that if they did want to go find Emma and Aeron, he would help in any way he could.
So on the fourth day Chloe decided to set out and get her sister back. Mason was kind enough to lend her a book containing recipes and information for healing dragons, as well as some medicines he thought would be useful. Linda was thankful but not very happy with letting her daughter go by herself, but Eve and Sam stepped in saying that they would go with her.
At first Eve's parents did not want her to go either but after some consideration they reluctantly agreed.
"We just found everyone and we are leaving," Eve said as she and Chloe were saddling up their dragons, "Its insane,"
"I know, but I want to help Emma, it is my responsibility to get her out of this mess," Chloe said tightening the straps.
"Why is it?" Somebody asked. They turned around and saw Sam standing nearby, looking completely relaxed.
"Never mind," Chloe said quietly turning to face Vivi, I think you're all ready. How do you feel?
Splendid.
Great.
"Are you guys ready?" Chloe asked Eve and Sam, who was petting Snowflake on the nose. Snowflake was barring her teeth and looked like she wanted to bite his hand off.
"Snowflake no, you are not allowed to set him on fire." Eve said out loud making Chloe laugh. Sam snatched his hand away, glaring at the dragon.
"She doesn't like it when other people touch her." She explained.
"Let me ride Vivi then," He said.
If he as so much as looks at me the only thing he is going to ride is the hearse.
"My god Vivi you are vicious," Chloe said.
"Cheer up then," Eve said to Snowflake who in the meantime was inching really close to Sam while he wasn't looking.
The riders climbed on and the dragons rose into the air. The people stopped to look at them but resumed their jobs once the others disappeared.
Chloe was not exactly sure where Emma would be. The only thing she knew is how to get to the village, luckily Eve generally had a good sense of direction and knew where to go.
"So tell me," Chloe called over to Sam once Vivi and Snowflake were close enough, "Why did you want to come, you don't even have a dragon,"
"Because my father was a healer, I learnt a few things from him. Might come in handy," He answered.
"Ok then," Chloe said and continued flying.
"Also," He said getting her attention once more, "I do have a dragon,"

He was displeased. Looking down on the courtyard of the castle he once captured he was disgusted to see his old guards. The only reason he had not gotten rid of them yet was because there would be nobody else to protect him. How foolish he was to let the golden dragon slip through his fingers. He should have been more careful. Walking into his office he pulled back the curtain at the back of the room revealing Lucia. As soon as her master walked in she sat upright, her red eyes gleaming.
"Hello my pet," he said to her. She bowed her head in response. A shadow moved behind her, barely visible in the darkness. Lucia showed no sign of recognition, but she felt his sorrow. Scorpion walked around her until he had a clear view of Serin.
"And hello to you," He said. Serin did not do anything but backed away to the wall, whimpering.
"You are a disgrace to dragons you know that?" Scorpion said coming closer. Serin did not move but simply looked down.
"Well no matter, your owner will come get you soon enough." And with that he turned around and walked away, drawing the curtain behind him, hiding them away once more.
